𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 tempo of the road, moving along with every bump and wobble of the cart. The sun shines down on you, although you are now partially relieved of its scorching heat thanks to the hood you pulled over your head, courtesy of the Scout cape you had been lent.

You can imagine how you looked to a stranger's eye. An unknown girl, hunched over with a hood shadowing half your face – yeah, you can see it. You chuckled. This was eerily reminiscent of a tv show, one where your character would appear dark and mysterious only to reveal their tragic backstory down the line.

However, your saving grace is none other than the Scout sitting next to you, who keeps an amicable conversation going based on the multitude of questions that bubble inside his head.

"And it just moves by itself?" Armin asks, haloed by the afternoon sun. It makes the sparkle in his eyes seem ever brighter, and you almost want to look away, blinded by the two suns.

"Technically, no," you say, already having lost track of time since Armin began with his sea of questions, which you tried your best to answer. "There is a mechanism that works with the vapor that is made when they burn coal. I have no clue how it works but like, that's the basic idea."

"Wow," he says, awestruck. "And you say they come in smaller models?"

"What, like toys?"

"No, those carts you talked about yesterday."

"Oh. No, that's cars," you say. "They work similarly I guess? I don't... I don't really know either."

You scratch the back of your neck nervously, not really prepared for all of Armin's questions, weirdly itching to change the subject.
