TOBYS POV
I lay there silently. Watching. Just.. watching. I'd woken about an hour ago, the dawn barely breaking the surface of the damp earth. I watched the way her chest rose and fell gently and even. How her lips were ever so slightly parted, and how a few stray strands of her hair fell across her face. I think I hate her. She is the bane of my fucking existence and a true pain in my ass. At some point in the night, she had turned to face me. It was odd at first, to see her so.. calm. She hadn't looked this peaceful since that very first moment I'd laid eyes on her, when she was just another stupid stoner who had trekked too deep into woods she didn't understand.
After that initial thought of how peaceful she looked, I thought about how much I wished she would just fuck off. Maybe I should have done myself the courtesy of snuffing out her life, of taking that soft little neck of hers in my hands and squeezing... My eyes flick down and I can only just, lightly see her pulse thrumming. I shake off the several dirty and depraving thoughts that flood my mind and finally decide it's time to get out of bed. Almost everyone is out on their own separate tasks and missions, and I'm pretty sure I'll be summoned for my own task. I sigh and kick my legs over the edge of the bed in a quick movement, my head rolls back involuntarily to look at her. Before I can let my thoughts linger for too long, I stand and exit the room, I'll get dressed later. I make my way to his office, something I will forever dread doing.
YOUR POV
My arms stretch out and I take in a large amount of air, even though I really didn't want to sleep in the same bed as that asshole, it was definitely one of the better sleeps I'd had. As my arms glide across the mattress, I notice that he's gone, I open my eyes and prop myself up on my elbows, lightly scanning the room with furrowed brows and then finally planting my gaze at the window. The sun is pretty high in the sky, I never used to sleep in. Now, it feels like that's all I do. Sleep. I look down at myself, I've been wearing the same clothes for like three days and I am in desperate need of a shower. I roll and place my feet on the ground, standing and heading towards the door. I'm honestly just glad that I no longer have that stupid shackle attached to my ankle, I am by no means getting used to this hellhole, but I also have no intention of being brutalised by the several monsters that lurk around me and this place. Right as I'm turning the door handle there's a knock.
"Hello?" A female voice speaks through the door, I let go of the handle and slightly step back. "It's y/n right? I'm Jane." She speaks again, but I don't respond. She lets out a light sigh before she speaks again. "Ej thought it would be good for you to.. speak to some people. He thought maybe we would get along.." She tries again. I stay silent for a long moment, weighing my options. I can't just start befriending these freaking psychopaths. But.. strangely, I trust Ej. So, after a long breath, I open the door. I'm met with a pale young woman, her hair and eyes the deepest black I've ever seen. I remember her from the dining room. She seems genuinely surprised that I've opened the door, she scans me up and down for a moment and I immediately want to close the door again. "No offense but you look like shit, when was the last time Toby let you shower." She says with a light laugh as she furrows her brows. I give a small shrug "Three days... I think.." I admit a little sheepishly. "Ugh. Toby is so going to get a mouthful from me about this. Come on, let's get you a shower. I've got some clothes you can use." She uses her head to gesture down the hall and holds her arm out. I skip taking her arm and instead walk beside her at a safe distance, she shrugs this rejection off and gives me another up-and-down look as we're walking. "Did he not get you a bra?" She laughs.

Jane spent my entire shower sitting in the bathtub and rambling about all sorts of things that I honestly wasn't listening to. It was weird. She spoke as though we had been friends for years like we were two normal people gossiping before getting ready for some house party. When I got out of the shower she brought me a change of clothes, matching hood and sweat set. At least there is actual underwear now, despite them being a little skimpy. She pulls out an assortment of hair and skin care from a small makeup bag and begins practically grooming me. She's still rambling. I'm almost stunned into silence; how do these people seem so normal? What the fuck is this place? As she stands in front of me and applies several different creams and serums to me, I can't help but stare at her. It's like she was born in black and white, like I'm viewing her on a TV from the 50s. She hisses a noise as she runs a finger over my healing head wound that I had completely forgotten about. "Looks like it will scar." She mumbles more to herself than me. "I totally have a cream for this." She spins and ruffles through her small bag, triumphantly pulling out a tube of... I have no idea and start applying it. She moves onto my hair.
