Trapped

"Where do you think you're going?"

I know we're caught. But I might be able to save it. I feel dean and Sam slow their pace and I quickly pull my arm back and throw my elbow backwards.
I hear a pretty satisfying smack sound and Deans grunt follows as his head jerks back with impact.

I hear the copy hat stopped us make a surprised sound. At the same time Sam catches on.

He grabs both my arms and starts trying to hold me still. I fight and thrash around enough to look convincing. Letting just enough words of protest come and finally letting Sam take the advantage.

"Stop fighting" he yells getting this authors five tone in his butter voice.

"You okay?" I hear the detective-who I now see is Don-asks Dean. I have to admit the small trickle of blood is kinda satisfying.

"I'll be okay when she finally stops running" Dean says. He glances into my eyes and I see how all he wants-needs- is the story.

"It's not my fault you made a rookie mistake. Let the "kind of criminal" just walk out the door claiming to use the bathroom! That was really genius Dean!" I say giving him everything he needs to make our stories match.

The other detectives seem to buy it and before I know it I hear two clicks and snaps. But I only feel the metal on one hand.

I look down at my right hand and see the metal bracelet around it and the other cuff is fastened to Dean. Good thinking he did it before someone else did it.

"See I knew you liked me" I joke trying to keep my snarky personality going. Even if it is an act.

"You wish" he says back before hauling me off towards another interrogation room. This precinct is huge. I look at Sam and the other detectives on the way out. Sam meets my eyes and I can see he's worried. I guess I can have enough confidence for the both of us.
