POV- Venice

“Another day come and gone!” I said to myself tiredly as I got out of bed. 'Yesterday was kinda boring. Everyone was so lazy, and we had to clean up from the party.' I blushed as I remembered what had happened under the night's sky. I brushed my hair, then slipped on a blue sundress, since it looked so pretty!

I suddenly felt a burst of energy, and hopped down the stairs, two at a time. I saw everybody was up, some sitting watching T.V., others eating breakfast. Canada waved me over, and gave me a plate of eggs, bacon and toast, and a glass of orange juice (veeeery original...) I quickly sat down and dug in.

“Hey Venven!” I turned, mouth full, to see Ontario jump through the doorway. I swallowed. “Hey! Did you just make that up?” “Yup!” She ran over. “Wanna go drive around today? I'm sick of being locked up inside.” “Okay, just wait for me to finish this.” She sat, sighing.

When I finished, she was sitting upside down. Her legs were stretched out against the wall, back on the floor. “S'about time!” She said, flipping upwards. “It was only two minutes.” “Oh.” She stood up, and we linked arms as we jogged outside, yelling goodbyes. We jumped into the car (not literally) and started the day.

“Oooh, this is cute!” I said, pointing to something in a store. We'd parked and walked around for quite a bit, going into random stores. Ontario looked over to m findings. “You like beanie hats? Cool!” She snatched one off the shelf, then placed it onto my head. I smiled, looking in the mirror.

We decided to pay for what we'd picked out (my beanie, other random accessories) and left. We walked slowly, telling each other funny stories from our past. As she was about to comment on one of mine (it involved pasta noodles and a gondola...yeah), her cellphone started ringing. “Yeah, I know that you wanna be Canadian please...” “Hey, wasn't that playing at the party?”

She nodded, then answered. “Yo? Oh hey Yorkie, wassup? Hm? When? Okay, we'll be there soon, just gotta get something for my friend! Oh yeah, and you have to meet my new friend Venice. Okay, okay, we'll be there soon. Bye!” I looked ay her, confused. “Oh, that was New York. Come, we're gonna go to the beach today!”

She dragged me along to another store. 'Oh, yeah, I need a bathing suit.' I thought as Ontario looked through the racks. “At least this gives me the chance to get a new one!” She said happily, and I started looking around too. It didn't take her a long time to find one for herself, which was a dark green two piece with sparkles on the straps. She came to help me, since I didn't have a clue what to get.

“Purple...no. Pink is out...” I mumbled to myself. Then, I found it; a red bikini with thick straps that had an orange flower on one of the straps. “Perfect!” I said. Ontario gave me a thumbs up. Once we got the right sizes, we payed and went for the drive to the house.

POV- Ontario

Well, usually you don't come home to guys shirtless, but in my house, it's kinda normal. Quite a few of us are guys, but it's still awkward. So, when Venice and I entered the house to see Alberta had taken his shirt off, it was kinda weird for me, especially since Venice isn't used to it. Hey, wait...why is he here?

“Oooookay, well, go get changed upstairs Venice, I'll be-” I was cut off by someone to my right. “Hey, 'Tari. So, this is you're definition of 'soon'?” I turned to see New York standing there, his blue eyes bright. “Hey! Didn't think you'd be free in the summer, with your millions of 'siblings'.” I said, hugging him from the side. “Hey Ven! This is New York, or Yorkie! Yorkie, this is Venice!” She waved shyly, and we went to changing into our swimsuits.

I changed rather quickly, possibly setting a new record. I slipped a flowy shirt and skirt over my bathing suit, then hopped down the stairs. I grabbed a few towels and other things (sunscreen, goggles, etc.) and went outside, watching the excitement of others as I set them into the trunk. I saw as people started splitting up, going to different cars. “Venice, wanna go with me?” She looked up after skipping down to the driveway with Italy. “Oh, sorry, I told Italy I'd go with him.” “Okay, that's fine!”

I ended up with New York, Canada, England, and Quebec. Suffice to say, the long ride to our destination was quite awkward. I tapped my fingers against the window. 'I seem to do this a lot when I'm bored, huh?' I asked myself, impatient to get to the refreshing water after being in +30 (degrees Celsius-no, I don't know it in Fahrenheit) weather.

When we got there, though, the fun began.

POV- Canada

Getting out of that car was heaven. All the tension lifted, and I could breath fresh air again. I rummaged around the trunk to get a towel. I set up a spot, and then got some sunscreen on. My pale skin and the sun, they get along...about as well as Quebec and Ontario, armed in the middle of war, against both eachother and the Americans. Yeah, wasn't too pretty.

I looked around, seeing others setting up as well. Venice skipped with an aqua blue towel, smoothing it out on the hot sand. She, Ontario and Italy's towels were lined up in a row. 'Aww, that's kinda cute.' I thought to myself, handing the sunscreen off to whoever needed it. The first into the water were Ontario and New York, the latter of which grabbing her and running in.

I laughed, as did several. I went in myself, ending up in a splashing war with Ontario, New York, England, Germany, Alberta, Manitoba and a reluctant Saskatchewan. 'I wonder why those three came to my house this morning.' I thought, pausing to get water dumped on my head. “Ahh, whatever.” I said to myself, laughing. “At least we're having fun.”

Then I heard someone scream.
