"Okay, P'Kim, I'll wait for you outside uni." Porchay said before ending his 15-minute phone call with Kim.
It's Friday, and what's a better way to end the day than to go to an arcade place and eat by the streets after? It's been a while since he visited the arcade place near uni—probably months before Kim almost ran him over with his bike.
At exactly 3 in the afternoon, Porchay stood outside Anantrameka University, his backpack loosely hanging on one shoulder as he sipped on his favorite chocolate drink with his left hand holding another one.
"P'Kim!!!" He pushes his body off the wall where he's leaning, and when he notices a familiar bike a few feet away from him, he excitedly runs towards Kim and waits until Kim gets off from his bike. "You're using your bike again!" He exclaimed.
Kim shook his head, causing his hair to make a mess after removing his helmet. "Yeah, it got fixed yesterday." He smiled at Porchay upon noticing the same chocolate drink he's drinking in his left hand, "That's for me?" He asked the younger.
Porchay cheerfully nodded his head before extending his hand towards Kim, handing him the chocolate drink. "I bought it for you; you said it's also your favorite drink now too."
"Thank you, Porchay." Kim thanked him.
Porchay tilted his head as if Kim said something unusual, something that doesn't sit right with him. "That's not how you called me the other day..." he mumbled.
"Huh?" Placing his helmet down to poke the straw on his drink, Kim asked confusedly at Porchay. "What do you mean?" he added.
A sigh followed by a small pout was made by Porchay before he sipped his chocolate drink in one go, finishing the whole box. "You were calling me Bambi the other day."
Kim's breath hitched before he coughed; his hand found its way to his chest, thumping a couple of times as Porchay's words almost gave him a heart attack. "Oh..." was the only thing he could say.
"I like it, P'Kim," Porchay said, sounding a little bit sulky at Kim. "Keep calling me Bambi..."
"You like it?" Kim answers, his tone somewhat sounding like he's doubting Porchay, and it made the younger one purse his lips more.
"I mean..." Porchay sighs, "If you don't want to call me that anymore, that's fine too, I guess..." He lets out another sigh, his eyes moving from Kim to the stoplight across the street—trying to avoid Kim's eyes.
"I didn't know you liked it, Chay." Kim panics when Porchay turns his head away from him. Kim is so sure that Porchay is sulking at him, and he doesn't know what to do to appease him. "I want to keep calling you Bambi too, Chay. I... It suits you. Your eyes..." Kim explains as he places his chocolate drink down after inhaling it in seconds just so he could hold Porchay's wrist. "It resembles a deer so much. You didn't react when I called you that, so I assumed you didn't like it."
"I like it!" Porchay stomped his feet, like a child who couldn't get his favorite toy. "I found it cute when you called me Bambi the other day. I didn't react because..." He looked down, hiding his face as he bit his lower lip.
"Because?"
I don't want you to see how that single word could make me blush were the words he badly wanted to say. "I liked it so much..." Porchay whispered, settling on a short answer.
