Kim swiftly parked his bike, turned off the engine, and let out a heavy sigh. Before he could take off his helmet, a series of dings from his phone—seemingly desperate for his attention—were heard. Kim took off his leather gloves before fishing his phone from his pocket.
Porchay's name greeted him with a total of 8 messages from the younger.
As if on cue, Kim's lips draw a wide smile on his face as if it's an automatic reaction when it comes to anything related to Porchay. He hurriedly took off his helmet for him to clearly see and read the messages that Porchay sent.
P'Kim!
Hi :)
There's a newly opened skate park close to uni!
Do you know how to skate? I do!!!
If you don't know how to skate, don't worry; I'll teach you!!
Can we go? Please?
Oh! Wait, you might have practice today :(. Never mind, P'Kim. I'll just ask Ohm instead.
Good luck on your practice, Mr. Soon-to-be-world-champion (。•̀ᴗ-)
Kim dropped his helmet straight on the roughly cemented floor outside the Theerapanyakul Race's racetrack and headquarters in his panic on typing a reply to Porchay.
What time?
I'm not busy. I can drive to uni right now.
He is busy.
He finally decided to visit the racetrack today after a week of skipping his practice and chose to spend his time with Porchay instead.
He is busy; he really needs to get on the track now. Kim really needs to start practicing. He needs to face his brother, Kinn, too. Aside from skipping practice, Kim has been ignoring his brother's calls and messages as well.
Kim was ready to hear his brother's nagging; he's ready to ignore the nasty looks his teammates will probably give him. He's ready to fight back, talk back, and tell Kinn how much of an ass of a brother he is.
But all of those went in vain with just 8 messages from Porchay. His comfort. His safe haven. His Bambi.
My classes are done, Phi. I'll wait for you outside uni!
I'm excited!
I haven't been skating for a while, but it's okay, I can still teach you the basics.
See you in a while, P'Kim!
The smile on Kim's face grew wider and wider with every reply from Porchay that he received. Kim coughs upon taking a glance at his face from his bike's side mirror. He looks so silly. There's an obvious hint of red on his cheeks that just made him fully aware of how his neck up to his face feels hot.
Kim chuckled while looking at his blushing face in the mirror. He covers his face with his palm shyly as if someone was teasing him with his red-tinted cheeks. He shook his head, smiled wider, and felt his hot face.
Damn. Porchay, what are you doing to me, Bambi?—Kim whispered under his breath while feeling the warmth of his cheeks.
Kimhan hurriedly picked up his helmet from the ground, wore it as well as his gloves, chucked his phone back in his pocket, and reignited his bike's engine.
He drives off, away from the Theerapanyakul Race's headquarters and towards the direction of Porchay's uni.
The meters-high metal gate of the headquarters remained closed. Kim didn't even get the chance to get off his bike. His bike's engine has only been turned off for 5 solid minutes. His bike's tires are still hot; the rubbery smell hasn't fully saturated the air yet.
