The city was alive with its usual nighttime energy as Viviene and Regina exited the building of the restaurant. The streets shimmered under the glow of streetlights, with cars zipping by and the distant chatter of pedestrians created a backdrop to the intimate quiet between Viviene and Regina. As Viviene walked a step behind Regina, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of the evening so far. Dinner had been... enchanting, intense, and thoroughly disarming. The night felt alive, electric even, and Viviene couldn't decide whether it was the city's energy or the woman standing in front of her that made her heart race.

Regina, in her fitted burgundy dress, exuded an effortless grace as she led the way to the curb. Her confidence was magnetic, and Viviene found herself both drawn to it and slightly intimidated by it.

"You're not the type to head straight home after dinner, are you?" Regina asked, throwing a glance over her shoulder, her lips curving into that enigmatic smile that seemed to always disarm Viviene. Her voice smooth, her tone more playful than demanding. She turned to Viviene, her grayish blue eyes sparkling like the city lights above them.

Viviene hesitated, unsure of how to respond. Her stomach fluttering. "I... don't usually have evenings like this," she admitted, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks, tucking a strand of her dark bob behind her ear.

Regina's smile widened, tilting her head slightly. "Good," she replied, her tone laced with intrigue, signaling to a sleek black car that had been idling nearby. "Because I have something special planned."

Viviene hesitated at the sight of the car, a sense of unease bubbling up alongside her curiosity. "Special?" she echoed; her tone uncertain.

"You'll see," Regina replied, stepping aside as the driver opened the back door with a courteous nod. "Tonight is all about stepping out of the ordinary."

Viviene stood there for a moment, torn between the urge to step back into her comfortable, predictable life and the pull of Regina's world—a world that promised excitement, mystery, and something she couldn't quite name.

"Trust me," Regina said softly, her voice pulling Viviene's gaze back to her.

There was something about the way Regina said those words, the confidence behind them, that made Viviene take a deep breath and step forward. The plush leather seat of the car enveloped her as she slid inside, and the subtle scent of leather and vanilla filled the air. Regina followed, her movements elegant and deliberate as she settled beside Viviene, the door closing with a soft click.

The driver returned to his seat, and with smooth motion, the car pulled away from the curb. For a moment, the only sound was the gentle hum of the engine. Viviene stared out the window at the city speeding past, the blur of lights and shadows reflecting the swirl of emotions in her chest. The silence was thick with unspoken tension, a mix of anticipation and something else Viviene couldn't quite put her finger on.

"So," she began, breaking the silence, "are you going to tell me where we're going?"

Regina smirked; her gaze fixed straight ahead. "Where's the fun in that?" she teased, crossing her legs, and leaning back slightly.

Regina turned to her, her eyes glinting with a mix of amusement and intrigue. "You'll have to be patient," she said. "But I promise, it'll be worth it."

Viviene shifted in her seat, her nerves prickling. She wasn't used to this—being out of control, being swept along in someone else's plans. It was exhilarating and terrifying in equal measure.

Viviene turned to her, raising an eyebrow. "Do you always keep people guessing?"

"Only when I find it worth the effort," Regina replied, her voice dipping slightly as she held Viviene's gaze.
