I turned to my cell phone in confusion and stared at it until the lock screen dimmed.
What was that about?
---
I ran through the long hallways, thinking that I was late for our meet up.
"Mariooon! Hurry! The orientation's about to start!" Castiel shouted and waved at me from afar.
The freshmen's line seemed to disappear in my vision as they immediately entered the auditorium, making me run faster.
Kris smacked me upside the head. "A grand entrance ain't suited for you." I only glared in response.
For the whole event, I daydreamed about random things. I already knew the things they were presenting, so I think there's no point in listening.
I zipped my jacket up as the air inside the place became chilly. I looked around and saw Lea sleeping a few chairs away from us.
"Huh," I thought.
---
After the orientation, we decided to take a break, buy something from the canteen, and try the institution's greenhouses.
I held my Lipton iced tea tightly as I closed my eyes and focused on the sound of the rustling leaves and chirping birds.
"Lemons. It tastes like lemons," I blurted out after taking a sip.
"Well, duh, it's lemon iced tea. Whaddya expect? Apples?"
I ignored him and looked at the entrance of the main building.
"Hm?"
Lea was there, trying on a school uniform while doing the T-pose. She caught me watching her, and I swear I heard a little "pomph" sound as she puffed her cheeks out.
"Is she... asserting dominance or something?"
"What," Kris said in a flat tone and followed my line of sight. Now some students are imitating her. "PFFT—"
"What even is that, a cult?" Castiel commented while chuckling. He did the pose, too, and Kris followed, so I did, too. Lea saw us and smiled.
"Huh, what a weird day."
