Where Are You Now?

"Wait wait wait, so you mean to tell me that you fought Gina hoe ass and then you almost did the same with Kiyanne crazy ass?", Achebe asked in disbelief.

"Language and sadly, yes. Both of which were unexpected might I add", she said with a chuckle.

"Damn I can't believe I missed that. Gina's wig came off and everything. And then she ran away? That's wild", Achebe said.

"Yup. I just hope she stop messing with me now because I'm not gonna keep fighting her. I shouldn't have whooped her ass in the first place though. It was irresponsible of me to neglect my child like that. If she would've hit my stomach, who knows what could've happened to the baby", Ivory replied shamefully.

"Hey, don't even think about it like that. You dealt with a bully and I'm sure the baby is fine. She didn't even land a hit on you", Achebe said reassuringly.

"Yeah you're right. I'm just over thinking it, but we don't mention this to Safari ok? He will not approve and I don't feel like being lectured", she said, sitting back on the couch.

"Got it, but you are telling him about Kiyanne right?"

"Yeah yeah of course. He needs a restraining order or something against her", Ivory said.

"Yeah that's crazy, but I gotta catch up on this homework so I'll talk to you later", Achebe said.

"Ok bye", Ivory responded, ending the call.

Ivory decided to get dinner started while she waited to get Violet. She made Violet's favorite, which was baked fish and steamed vegetables with sweet potatoes as dessert. Violet was an oddly healthy child, but Ivory wasn't complaining.

She caught up on Love and Hip Hop while the food cooked and cleaned up a little. Once the food was done, she made her way to Achebe's to pick up Violet.

She knocked on the door and was greeted by Tafari. It was clear that they were both shocked.

"What are you doing here?", they both asked.

"Uh this is my place"

"Yeah, but I didn't know you came back. Have you been here with my cousin?"

"Your cousin? You mean Achebe?", he asked.

"Yeah her. Where is she by the way? I'm here to pick up Violet and you two have been here alone for how long?", Ivory said, looking inside.

"Who's Violet? And it's been like 2 days, but it's not even like that"

"The little girl that was here with Achebe and yeah ok. Just remember she's underaged and I don't approve", Ivory said, becoming frustrated.

"Wait. What? Achebe!", Tafari called.

Achebe sped walked to the door with a confused look on her face.

"Hey what are you doing here?", Achebe asked.

"Where's Violet?", Ivory asked.

"What do you mean? Safari came and got her a few minutes ago", Achebe said.

"Safari? Ok", Ivory said, shaking her head.

"I'll see you later", Achebe said before closing the door.

Ivory stood there shocked.

"Ookkkkk......", she mumbled before leaving. Achebe and Tafari were acting strange, but she would worry about that later.

She drove back home with a lot on her mind.

When did Safari get back?

Why didn't he call her?

What was going on?

She unlocked the door and was greeted by Safari.

"Hello", he said calmly.

"Um hey. Why didn't you tell me you were back?", Ivory asked.

Safari shrugged his shoulders

"I didn't think I needed to tell you my moves 24/7"

Ivory drew back a little

"Ok, but it would've been nice to know that you were picking up Violet"

"Yeah ok. I don't see why you care so much being that she doesn't even belong to you anyways. All this stuff you're doing is a little redundant", he replied blandly

Ivory shook her head in disbelief

"Well one of us has to care Safari"

"What and I don't? All that shit you bought her was on my dime. Her room? My condo. She's my kid not yours so do your job and focus on your child", he spat

"Oh and you know her soooo well huh? Do you know what her favorite thing to do is? How about her favorite food? Better yet, did you know she has a voice in her head that tells her to do things? Or that she may have been in a cult? You know what now that I think about it, you're right. I'll just focus on my child and leave you to yours since you're such an expert on her. Good luck", Ivory said before going out the door, making sure she slammed it.

Ivory jogged down the stairs with tears pouring out of her eyes. She was so angry she could hardly even think. She sped walked to her car and yanked it open, not even noticing that it was unlocked.

She put the key in the ignition and bent down to put her purse in the passenger side. When she sat back up she yelled at the sight of a man in her backseat...with a gun.

"Just drive and I won't shoot", he said calmly.

Ivory breathed heavily and began to back out of the parking lot. The man took his phone out of his pocket and dialed a number.

"Hello? Its me...... I just got her and we're going to the airport now. See you in a few"
