Sweetheart you look so vulnerable
Just standing there with your head down
And I notice just how your heart is fragile
As I gaze at your frown
And it is permanently etched on your face
My mistake ever haunting
Seeing you so delicate as lace
As your heart is slowly frosting
And I realize that I have lost a heart of gold
For, due to my youthful folly
Broken, now it lies because I lost my hold
And dear you look melancholy
But worry not for time is near
And our infinity will last
As long as your corpse
For this is not present but past
And all that which is lost
Is found and kept
No matter what the cost
For all that we need is a little tempt
To fall in the desolate pit
Of dark and gloom
And like ants we admit
We have brought our own doom
