Amelia has just got to work, walking into the cafe to get her coffee as usual as she waits in line for her coffee, after a while she finally picks up a cup, taking a sip but she realizes this isn't her order.
Amelia:Ew, what the hell is this..?
???:That would be mine, thank you very much
The voice from behind her says as amelia turns around
Amelia:Wha- Kai.. hi..
Kai:Hi, i see you're in a bit of a rush..
Amelia: Yeah.. sorry.. i woke up late and- wait what are you doing here
Kai inhales sharply
Kai:I am.. moving my lab to seattle, it'll take a few weeks but London just wasn't for me.. and i wanted to talk to you
Amelia:Okay.. i have a surgery in a few minutes but meet me in the plant room after and we can talk
Kai:Okay.. see you then.
A few hours later, Amelia walks into the plant room, sitting down across from kai
Amelia:So.. what'd you want to talk about..?
Kai:For starters, i want to apologize.. for how i just.. left.. I never meant to hurt you, i know i should've told you about the job offer beforehand, it was one of the biggest job opportunities of my entire career and i just.. took it. I'm sorry for hurting you, truly sorry..
Amelia:I.. it did hurt.. a lot.. especially after we spent the entire day.. mm.. but i forgive you.. it still hurts sometimes but i also understand how this made a huge impact on your dream, and i truly am proud of you and how far you've came..
Kai:Thank you Amelia.. that means a lot..
Kai says softly as they place a hand on Amelia's knee
Amelia: You're welcome, Kai..
Amelia says as she looks into Kai's eyes, they both know they can't stay away from each other.. they know they shouldn't.. but..
A few hours later, Amelia walks out of an on call room, fixing her hair as she bumps into Richard
Richard:Oh! Shepherd? What's going on with your hair?
Amelia:Huh- oh! Uh.. i.. was tossing in my sleep..
Richard:Huh.. okay.. well see you later..
Amelia:See you!
She says before quickly walking away
Richard:Huh..
Richard looks over as the on call room door opens back up, immediately putting the pieces together as kai walks out
Richard:Just tossing and turning?
He shakes his head and chuckles as he walks off.
A few hours later(again), kai and Amelia are in the hotel bed, tangled with each other as they catch their breath
Amelia: That was.. amazing.. god, I've missed this..
Kai: I've missed you..
Amelia:I missed you too..
Amelia says as she looks up at them, planting a soft kiss on their lips
Kai:I love you..
Amelia:.. I love you too Kai..
