I felt like I was drowning in the sea of his ignorance. His indifference was suffocating me, and I couldn't bear the weight of it anymore. Losing him was my biggest fear, and now I felt it looming over me like a dark cloud.
I didn't know what had triggered this sudden change in his behavior. All I knew was that he wasn't my Ishaan anymore - the one I had grown to love, the reason I woke up every morning. The thought of living without him was unbearable, and I felt my heart shattering into a million pieces.
As I waited for him in the bedroom, I had expected a normal conversation, a sense of connection, once he freshened up. But instead, he ignored me, just like he had in the living room. The rejection stung, but I refused to give up.
I couldn't let him go! Never! He was all mine, and I wouldn't let him slip away so easily. As he turned to leave, I quickly wrapped my hands around his muscular arms, holding him in place.
I knew my tears were his weak point. I had tried to hold them back, knowing how much they could hurt him. But I couldn't control myself. My heart was heavy, weighed down by the fear of losing him.
As the tears began to fall, I felt his body tense, his eyes locking onto mine. I saw the flicker of emotion, the hesitation, and I knew I had him. He wouldn't be able to resist me, not now.
His hands instinctively cupped my face, and a gentle relief washed over me. I closed my eyes, letting the warmth of his touch soothe my soul. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, I felt a sense of peace settle within me.
As I stood there, enveloped in the warmth of his touch, I felt my tears slow to a stop. His thumbs gently stroked my cheeks, wiping away the remnants of my sorrow. I breathed in deeply, feeling my heart rate slow, my mind calm.
"Ishaan," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
His eyes locked onto mine, filled with a deep concern, a longing to understand. "Anira, I..." His voice trailed off, but I knew he was trying to tell me something.
I opened my eyes wider, searching his face for answers. And in that moment, I knew that he was struggling, that he was fighting his own demons.
"I can't handle this behavior of yours, Ishaan," I confessed, my voice trembling as I took advantage of the moment. His eyes widened, but he tried to maintain his composure.
"I'm afraid, Ishaan," I continued, a shiver running down my spine as the thought of losing him washed over me. "I'm terrified of losing you. I couldn't bear the thought of living without you. Your ignorance is suffocating me, Ishaan."
I felt my voice crack as I pleaded with him, my heart pouring out of my chest. "Please, Ishaan, don't do this to me. I want you, I need you. Your silence is killing me."
My body trembled with a terrible fear, as I cried out from the depths of my heart. I covered his hands, still cradling my face, with my own, holding on to him as if he might slip away. The warmth of his touch was my only anchor in a sea of despair, and I clung to it desperately.
