I'm scared as I see the doors open, but I have a conversation inside my head with myself, "Stacy, really, your gonna let all those people who doubted you make you scared now? You may be small, (5'5", I remind myself) " and weigh nothing!" ( 104.9 gosh I've gained weight recently?!, and I work in a warehouse for goodness sake!!! I've gotta be strong!) "You may be strong physically my child, but what about mentally?" A third voice sounds in my ears! I look around but all I see is an empty yard, the side of the warehouse, maybe someone's at the front of the building and I am just being pranked by my friends?
I slowly step toward the front of the building. And as I aproach the corner I feel all the hairs on my body raise in fear. (Oh mo gosh Stacy, its just a building, and its daylight!) Though my body still behaves against my mind as I shake slightly and prepare myself to grab the closest stick to beat anyone around that corner! " Ha-ha you crazy woman a stick????" My mind taunts me.
"Why oh why can you not be on your own dang side in this situation Stacy," I think.
When I finally round the corner, my heart is beating a thousand beats per minute and I stupidly assume a judo or karate stance, ( who knows I've never taken either classes, just watched too much TV and movies) and in my sight I see at least ten people standing before me!
"I'll kill you all, I lift 60lb boxes everyday!" I scream!!!!

But as I round the corner and my vision clears from my imagination I see the only person there is my boss!
"Oh my goodness, ummmm, I'm so sorry sir! I heard something and ususually your here before I drive up and...."
"Hush, did you hear that????" Mr. Stockton says.
My heart stops, (Did he hear it too??)
But instantly he says, " oh my, I forgot I asked Wedge to clean the drains today! Ha-ha! I hope I didn't scare you Stacy!"
"Um no sir," I reply but honestly!!!! (You forgot?? You hope you didn't scare me?! Who is Wedge? And why that weird name? I'm pretty sure I didn't sign up for this when I took this job!!! Especially since I've already dreampt of that staircase in the warehouse!! And what was the warning???? Dangitt why can't I remember????)
