Chapter 10

The skies were painted with streaks of fire and the crackle of unleashed energy as Naruto and Itachi clashed. Their encounter unfolded simultaneously with Kisame and Escanor's explosive battle in the distance. Observing the fight from above, invisible to the combatants, Anko held Sasuke firmly in place with one hand while the other glowed faintly with chakra, restraining the seething Uchiha prodigy.

Let me go, Anko!” Sasuke hissed, his Sharingan blazing as he struggled against her grip.

Anko’s eyes narrowed. “No. This is a lesson you need to learn. Watch closely, Sasuke. You think you’re ready for him, but you’re not. See the gap between yourself and those at the top.”

Despite his anger, Sasuke froze, his eyes locking on the battle below.

---

In a flash, the two closed the distance between them. Naruto's sword swept forward in a brutal arc, his movements filled with raw power. Itachi twisted his body to the side, narrowly avoiding the blade, his kunai flashing upward to parry a follow-up strike. Their weapons collided with a sharp clang, sparks flying as they tested each other’s reflexes.

Itachi feinted with a kunai in his right hand while his left flicked three shuriken toward Naruto’s torso. Naruto sidestepped with inhuman speed, deflecting the projectiles with his sword while a shadow clone appeared at his side, leaping forward to close the distance. Itachi's Sharingan flickered as he anticipated the clone's attack. The moment it lunged, Itachi dissolved into a murder of crows, evading the strike entirely and reappearing behind Naruto.

Naruto spun on his heel, swinging his blade with a burst of momentum. Itachi ducked low, his kunai tracing a sharp line toward Naruto’s ribs. Naruto blocked with the flat of his sword and retaliated with a brutal knee aimed at Itachi’s midsection. Itachi leaned back just enough to evade the strike, releasing an explosive tag from his sleeve in the same motion.

The tag detonated, a violent explosion ripping through the battlefield. Naruto emerged from the smoke unharmed, a shadow clone taking the brunt of the blast as he leaped above Itachi with a downward slash. Itachi countered, throwing a volley of shuriken, each one curving mid-flight with uncanny precision. Naruto deflected them midair.

Itachi weaved through Naruto’s strikes, his body moving in seamless tandem with his Sharingan’s predictive abilities. Each movement served a purpose, sidestepping a thrust, parrying a slash, and countering with a swipe of his kunai that Naruto barely avoided. A sharp whistle filled the air as Itachi hurled an explosive crow at Naruto. The creature detonated on impact, forcing Naruto to retreat momentarily.

Naruto’s eyes narrowed as he recognized the subtle shift in Itachi’s demeanor. A flurry of crows swirled around him, their black wings forming a vortex. “Genjutsu,” Naruto muttered, his voice steady. The world around him darkened, and he found himself surrounded by countless crows, their harsh cries echoing in his ears.

A voice whispered through the chaos, low and haunting. “You can’t escape.”

Naruto smirked, his demonic power flaring to life. His aura surged outward, dispelling the illusion in an instant. “Nice try,” he said, his voice sharp with defiance.

A knee shot upward, slamming into Itachi's chest. The impact forced the Uchiha back several meters, his feet digging into the dirt to regain his footing. Before he could fully recover, Naruto’s clones descended upon him, their combined strikes pushing Itachi into a defensive stance.

Itachi weaved between the clones with remarkable agility, his hands flashing as he unleashed "Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique." Small fireballs rained down, consuming several of the clones in a fiery explosion.

From within the smoke, Naruto emerged unscathed, his body cloaked in black flames of Hellblaze. He charged Itachi with relentless aggression, his strikes increasing in speed and ferocity. Each swing of his blade was accompanied by arcs of destructive energy that carved into the forest around them.

In the Air

Sasuke’s fists clenched as he watched his brother deftly avoid Naruto’s attacks, each dodge and counter a reminder of Itachi’s overwhelming prowess. “He’s holding back,” Sasuke muttered through gritted teeth.

Anko’s voice was cold and firm. “Of course he is. You think you’ve seen Itachi’s full strength? Not even close. And that blond idiot? He’s far stronger than he looks. Pay attention.”

---

Itachi moved with deadly efficiency, his body dispersing into crows as Naruto’s blade swept through him. The crows reassembled a few paces away, and Itachi’s Sharingan spun with renewed intensity. Naruto didn’t hesitate. He summoned his demonic power, dark wings erupting from his back as he shot into the sky.

Hovering above the battlefield, Naruto raised his hand, summoning a barrage of dark spheres. Each sphere radiated with destructive energy, the sheer number of them casting a shadow over the battlefield. “Let’s see how you handle this!” Naruto roared, unleashing the attack.

Itachi stood firm, his Sharingan glowing crimson as he activated his Susanoo. The spectral warrior materialized around him, its imposing form armed with the Yata Mirror. The mirror caught the incoming spheres, reflecting their devastating energy back toward Naruto with impeccable timing.

Naruto smirked, his body shimmering briefly as two clones appeared beside him. The three Narutos extended their blades, ready to intercept the reflected attack. “Full Counter!” they shouted in unison.

The combined force of the reflected spheres multiplied as they redirected the attack back toward Itachi, the sheer magnitude of the energy causing the air to vibrate with power.

From their concealed vantage point above, Anko tightened her grip on Sasuke’s shoulder as he struggled against her restraint. “Stay put,” she commanded firmly, her voice low but unyielding.

Sasuke’s gaze remained fixed on the battlefield, his fists clenched as the overwhelming power of the battle threatened to drown him. Below, the clash between Naruto and Itachi continued to escalate.

The moment froze for an instant as the combined might of Naruto’s counterattack descended upon Itachi’s Susanoo, the outcome hanging in the balance.
