After a short breakfeast, I went back up to my room. With everything packed into boxes, my once lively room looked dull and boring. The mahogony walls didn't have that homey vibe to them anymore.

"Sweetie we're leaving, pack the rest of your things in the truck."

And that was my que.

_______

7 hours later, we arrived at my new home. It was quite big actually, like a mansion. My dad has always had a high income from his job as a lawyer. Ben and I went inside to call dibs on rooms, and I chose the biggest one (besides the master). The walls are plain white, which I'm dying to change. However, there is a walk-in closet, and a bay window. Perfect for my strenuous reading and common Netflix marathons.

With nothing better to do, I decided to start to set up my room. I won't put up any of my band posters yet, not until I paint the walls. However, I do move my overly generous clothes supply into the closet, put my black and white Aztec bedspread on the queen size mattress, and put an oak table next to the bed.

I guess this is home.
