By the way guys, I made a 8tracks mix with songs that'll be mentioned in this story, and songs that remind me of it, here's the link http://8tracks.com/chloegnicholas/drive-thru

I sighed as I sat up in my bed, my alarm blasting Cherry Pie. I hit my alarm, turning it off, which then caused Chad to slam my door open.

"No one, turns off Cherry Pie. That's my shit right there," he states bluntly, (with only one eye open and no pants on), and then proceeds to slam my door shut.

I rubbed my eyes sleepily, mumbling about how it's too early for Cherry Pie, which then causes Chad to re-enter my room.

"Niall, it's never too early for Cherry Pie."

-

I slowly walked up to In-N-Out, dreading the smelly day ahead of me. I then smiled, remembering that tomorrow was my day off, which meant me sleeping in, junk food, and no pants.

I then groaned remembering that I had to work until ten tonight. Great.

As I opened the door to In-N-Out, I remembered another thing.

Her.

I might see her again today.

I smiled to myself thinking about how our second encounter would go:

As her car pulled up, I slicked my hair back, smirking at her as she pulled to a stop. She pulled down her sunglasses as she winked at me, and licked her lips. I blew her a kiss and winked right back at her. She cleared her throat and said, "Niall, could I get a milkshake and some of you?" I smiled again, shrugging my shoulders and said, "the milkshake's coming right up, but I don't know about the second thing." She laughed as I then jumped out the drive-thru window and into her convertible, and blasted Cherry Pie as we sped off into the sunset.

"Niall, Niall! Let's get to work! Get your head out of your ass and get your apron on," Carol screams at me, as I'm shaken out of my daydream.

My very realistic daydream, might I add.

"Yeah, yeah I'm going, go back into your office, we don't want you having a coronary where customers walk in," I said, walking to my station by the drive-thru window.

Carol grunts, flipping me off, and wobbles away. I snort, shaking my head at the old lady. My parents absolutely adore her, that's basically how I got my job.

I wave as the other employees start walking in, pulling their aprons over their heads. They smile and walk to their stations in the kitchen and at the cash register.

I sigh inwardly, they feel my pain from working here.

-

I've been at this freakin drive-thru window for 8 hours, having many kinds of people pull up. A lot of families, with annoying kids in the back, laughing at the guy working the drive thru at a fast food restaurant.

Some couples, some groups of friends, old couples, I even had one guy pull up on a bike claiming he was 'too damn poor for one of those automobiles' then continued to ramble on how he used to be in a band, and how his wife left him because he was too occupied with his failing band, and not her. As he started going on about how he had a weird lump forming on his back, and how he wanted to show me, I scurried away to look for Carol.

She eventually chased him away with a broom, yelling at him to not come back until he gets a car and a life.

I groaned, wishing she was here, ordering a milkshake like yesterday.

I would never mind taking her order.

-

It was dark out, as it was nearing eleven in the evening. I had lost all hope of seeing her today, maybe ever again.

I pouted my lips at the thought of never seeing her beautiful eyes again, her long hair, how she smiled-

I was interrupted by a voice in my earpiece laughing. And I recognized it as her laugh. I giggled to myself, so happy she was back.

"Hi welcome to In-N-Out, what can I get you?"

"Um um um, I'll have a vanilla milkshake and a chocolate milkshake please."

"Okay, that'll be $2.78, please pull up to the next window."

"Don't worry cowboy I know how this rodeo works."

I sat up, confused by her answer, but smiled at it.

Her blue convertible pulled up, and I was again in awe of her. Her beauty, her elegance, her glow. She was wearing a baggy t-shirt and sweat pants with her long hair flowing on to her shoulders.

I also noticed the guy next to her.

I mentally shook myself and tried not to be crappy because of him, the guy sitting next to her.

Her eyes instantly lit up as she saw me, "Hey! You're that cute guy from yesterday! Niall right?"

I smiled, overjoyed that she remembered me, and my name.

"That's me, but I never got your name?" I said folding my arms and resting them on the windowsill as I slightly leaned forward.

She smiled and replied, " My name's Blythe."

Blythe.

Blythe.

Blythe.

Hearing her name made me almost forget about the guy next to her. Almost.

I smiled, and she said, "Oh! I forgot about the $2.78, one sec." She dug through her mess of a purse and finally pulled out the money, handing it over to me.

I noticed the guy next to her hasn't looked up from his phone once.

I took the money, and went to go get her shakes.

After I made them, I walked back to the window, handing her the shakes. She smiled, "Thanks Niall! I'll come more often if you're the one making my shakes," she says giggling.

"Uh, cool."

She laughed as she drove away, the guy next to her not looking up once.

I slapped myself in the head. "Uh cool." What was I thinking?

I wasn't.

I groaned as I rested my head in my hands, I always find a way to mess things up. I sat up and looked at the clock over my register. 11:15, finally I can go home.

I clock out, walking by Carol's office to say bye, but she was knocked out, snoring on her desk. I rolled my eyes, and walked out to my car.

It's been a long Saturday.
