The clash of titans tore through the void of space, explosions of power erupting in every direction like miniature supernovas. Each collision of golden and crimson light sent cascading ripples through the dark expanse, warping it as if space itself were a trembling lake disturbed by a thousand stones. The light was blinding, as though a dozen suns had ignited in rapid succession, their flares consuming everything in their reach.

Far below, Earth suffered the consequences. The oceans raged with unnatural fury, titanic waves rising miles high before crashing down, swallowing entire cities in their wake. Coastal towns disappeared beneath walls of water, their residents swept away as though they were mere grains of sand. Earthquakes rumbled with relentless intensity, splitting the ground and causing skyscrapers to tumble like fragile toys. Cracks raced across the land, engulfing cities, their buildings and streets crumbling into gaping chasms. Storms howled through the skies, winds so fierce they ripped through towns and forests alike, scattering everything and everyone in their paths.

The chaos was apocalyptic. Humanity, once masters of their domain, now seemed like ants scurrying before an indifferent storm.

Conrad stood on the dark, pinkish ground of the black-haired titan's nipppe, doing his best to shield his eyes from the relentless flashes of power exploding before him. The brilliance seared his vision, and the heat radiating from the distant battle prickled at his skin despite the impossible distance.

He couldn't bring himself to look at the fight for long. Instead, he turned his gaze downward, to the planet he'd called home. Or at least, what was left of it.

The Earth he had once seen in pictures and videos—its oceans vibrant blue, its lands green and brown, swirled with delicate white clouds—was now a disfigured, wounded thing. Thick, roiling clouds of black and gray smothered the skies, veiling the land in shadow. Through breaks in the smoke, he could see streaks of molten red scarring the surface, as if the very skin of the planet had been torn open to bleed lava and fire. The once-pristine blue seas were darkened by swirling debris, their surfaces churned by relentless storms.

His heart clenched at the sight, and he found himself whispering, "What... what did they do to my planet?"

From above him, the rumbling voice of the black-haired titan interrupted his thoughts. "Don't want to see?" she asked, her tone teasing yet laced with an unsettling curiosity.

Conrad flinched and slowly turned his head upward, meeting her gaze. Her massive black eyes bore down on him like twin voids, endless and oppressive. He opened his mouth to answer but found no words. His body trembled beneath her stare, his mind scrambling for any semblance of courage, but none came.

Her smirk deepened, and her voice dropped, smooth and dangerous. "Shall I show you?"

Before he could react, a searing heat shot through his mind. It was as if his skull had been cracked open, and fire poured into the fissure. He clutched his head, crying out, as visions flooded his mind—horrific, vivid, inescapable.

He saw towering waves tearing through coastal cities, drowning families and dragging entire buildings into the depths. He saw rivers of molten lava erupting from the earth, consuming everything in their path, leaving only charred ruins behind. He saw winds so fierce they stripped flesh from bone, leaving nothing but desolation in their wake. The screams of countless people echoed in his mind, their pain and terror filling him with despair.

Tears spilled from Conrad's eyes as the visions faded, leaving him gasping for air. His legs buckled, and he fell to his knees on the unsettlingly warm, pink flesh beneath him. He pressed his palms to his face, trying to block out the images that continued to haunt him.

For the first time in his life, he thought about his father. The old man wasn't much of a parent—more often than not, he was either lost in his farm work or the bottom of a bottle—but he was still family. The thought of him facing this destruction, alone and helpless, made Conrad's chest tighten with a mix of guilt and fear.

Wiping his tears away, Conrad forced himself to his feet, his legs trembling beneath him. He turned back toward the battle, squinting against the radiant blasts of golden and crimson light. He didn't know how—he didn't even know why—but he knew he couldn't just stand there and do nothing.

"They have to stop," he whispered, his voice trembling with desperation. He clenched his fists, his resolve hardening. "I have to stop them. I have to stop them now!"

He took a shaky step forward, the ground beneath him unnaturally firm yet disturbingly alive.

"Oh?" The deep rumble of the black-haired titan's voice rolled over him like thunder. Her massive face loomed closer, her amused expression unwavering. "I think I see now," she said, her tone dripping with mockery.

Conrad turned his head, meeting her gaze. Her dark eyes sparkled with something that could have been intrigue—or perhaps just cruelty.

"I think I see what our little sister sees in you," she continued, her voice low and almost seductive.

Her smirk widened, revealing sharp, pearly teeth. "So amusing," she purred, her voice like a dark melody.

Conrad took an involuntary step back, his heart hammering in his chest. Her words sent a chill down his spine, but they also ignited something else—a flicker of defiance.

"I'm not here to amuse you," he said, his voice shaky but determined.

The titan chuckled, the sound reverberating through the void. "Oh, but you are," she said, her tone playful yet filled with menace.

Conrad clenched his fists and turned back toward the battle. The golden and crimson lights continued to flare, their brilliance illuminating the destruction below. Somewhere deep inside, a spark of courage flickered to life. He didn't know what he could do, or if he even stood a chance—but he knew he had to try.
