Jeongin sat at the edge of the bed looking at Chan who was curled up asleep with his pacifier bopping in his mouth he looked so small and fragile jeongin had messed up big time. He broke the boy who trusted him to take care of him in the most vulnerable position.

Jeongin buried his face into his palms feeling horrible about himself "I have to make it up to him but what do I even
do? " The guilt was overwhelming for jeongin now everytime he looked at Chan he couldn't help but feel horrible

It was the next morning Chan's fever was still high he didn't get any better, jeongin stayed with him the whole night changing the cloth on his forehead from time to time. Soon Chan stirred awake barely conscious in his senses he sat up rubbing his eyes paci fallen out of his mouth through the night

Jeongin walked in holding Chan's sippy cup filled with luke warm water "oh your awake, how you feeling sweetheart" Jeongin asked as he set the cup on the bedside table. Chan didn't respond rubbing his eyes. Jeongin put his hand on Chan's forehead to check his temperature, Chan flinched at the touch which broke jeongins heart he pulled his hand back. "Channie...... " Jeongin looked at Chan eyes filled with guilt

Chan just curled away clinging onto his plushie tight . Jeongin didn't push it he let Chan be and took care of him after 3 days Chan's fever dropped low but he was still sick jeongin tried getting Chan to eat but Chan couldn't he would gag after just 3 bites and jeongin didn't wanna overwhelm the boy even more.

Right now Chan was in the living room he hasn't seen his other members but jeongin. He was still deep in his headspace about 2 or 1 sitting on the floor playing with soft blocks while the rest of the members were out with felix on a playdate jeongin sat on the couch watching Chan play his moments sluggish and weak . Soon the other members were home felix still little probably like 5 or 6 feeling older and mischievous.

Chan tensed up when he felt the rest of the members were back he looked up at jeongin who just gave him soft pitted look and said "it's okay baby" Chan wasn't reassured by that but he still tried to keep his cool and continued to play with the soft blocks

"Channieeee" Felix sequeled and went over to Chan. Chan looked up at him but didn't say anything and continued playing , the other members settled down on the couch talking to themselves.
Felix got bored and started throwing the blocks on Chan usually Chan wouldn't mind but he was feeling really vulnerable and broke down sobbing hard. Felix puzzled, backed away as Chan continued sobbing hard. Jeongin rushed over and picked Chan up startling Chan in the process. Jeongin held him on his lap trying to calm him down as Chan's small frame shook with violent sobs. The other members just stared not knowing what to do . Chan continued sobbing each violent sob was like a stab to jeongin. "Baby your gonna make yourself sick again" Jeongin said hushing Chan and whispering comforting sweet nothings to him, Chan was to out of it listen to anything he just clung onto to jeongin ,his fingers clutching on to Jeongins shirt tightly as jeongin rocked both of them

The other members stared realizing how bad they had been treating the leader who gave his everything for them, the one that trusted them so much and they did nothing but let him down the realization hit them like a truck . Guilt washing over them

Chan finally calmed down still clinging onto jeongin his face buried into the crook of his neck . Jeongin sighed and carried Chan to his room. "I'm putting him down for a nap we'll talk when he's all better" Jeongin said and left with a sniffling Chan in his arms

A couple of days later Chan's fever finally broke and he was out of his headspace too . He was still isolating himself from the others.
Jeongin walked into his room "hey" He said softly sitting down next to Chan who was curled up on his bed clutching his dads hoodie which he stole when he saw him last time. Chan turned around facing jeongin sat up looking at him with an unreadable emotion on his face
