Delilah's pov:

The walk home was extremely quiet. Chase and I had walked home extremely close together. Chase had tried to break the silence a couple times but I was just not in the mood to talk. "Delilah are you ok?" I nodded silently. Chase stopped which made me keep walking without him. I turned to see his angry expression aimed at me. "Delilah you need to talk to me. Conversations don't develop with only one person." I felt guilt sweep over me and I looked away. I continued walking until I bumped into him. Chase had run up in front to block my way. I went to walk around him but he blocked my way again. I sighed sitting down in defeat. Chase sat in front of me. His icy blue eyes showing no emotion. "Chase I'm just not in the mood to talk right now." Chase cocked his head, "why?" I felt anger erupt out of me, "maybe because I was looking for you all night not knowing if I'd find you or not!" Chase's eyes widened in surprise and it only made me feel worse. I felt tears flood into my eyes as the anger turned into sadness. Chase came closer, "I'm sorry I got you so worried. I wouldn't have known." I sniffed still trying to hold back the tears, "I thought you were just late to school but instead you never showed up. I didn't know the feelings that I had until now." A tear trailed down my cheek and that lead to more. I was balling and I didn't realize Chase was holding me until I calmed down. I sniffed and wiped my eyes with a paw to clean them up. Chase let me go and let our faces be at an even distance. "Delilah you know I wouldn't try to hurt you. I just got stuck." I took a deep breathe before replying to him. "I know you wouldn't but I was just worried." we sat in silence until another question came to my mind. "How'd you get up there anyway?" Chase smirked, "long story. Don't ask." I smiled and that led us to both laugh. When I had stopped I noticed I was laying on the ground on my stomach. Chase was looking at me mischievously and I shook my head to tell him no. He didn't listen and jumped on my back. I was pinned under him weight and struggled trying to get him off. "Chase get off of me." I commanded. Chase laughed, "no." I gave in and laid down in defeat. Without warning Chase gave me a kiss on the forehead and jumped off my back.  I blushed and got up looking at him. He smiled genuinely at me and walked back to my side. "I thing it's time to get you home for some sleep." I nodded and let him guide me back to my house. We got to the back of it and my window was still opened from when I'd hoped out. Chase nudged me a little to snap me out of my thoughts. I smiled at him and he smiled back. "I'll see you at school next week," he said. I nodded and climbed up the house to my window. When I got in I watched Chase walk off until I couldn't see his fur anymore. I yawned and realized how late it was, "I need to sleep. I have a big day tomorrow." I curled up into my bed and passed out into a deep sleep.
