The air rushed as they quickly pushed through the doors into the bright warm store. They stood for a brief moment, enjoying that initial calm of just stepping out of the cold. However, that was quickly overtaken by the chaos of another Fifth Avenue store filled with shoppers the day before Christmas Eve, and they stepped to the side to reevaluate.
"So what are we getting here?" Brooke asked.
"I want to check out their boots, I still have no idea what shoes I'm bringing with us on the trip," answered Madison.
The afternoon had been spent running around New York, popping into stores, and trying to finish all of their last minute shopping. Unlike most of their shopping counterparts, they weren't buying Christmas presents. Instead they were getting everything they needed before leaving for Europe in 48 hours.
To say New York City at Christmas is magical is an understatement. Everything sparkles.
