In a world that screams, I stand in despair,
My voice drowned out, lost in the air.
Chains of tradition tighten each day,
I long to escape, but I'm forced to stay.

The next morning, I quickly grabbed my bag and tied my hair into a messy ponytail. I was already running late for college, and I didn’t have time to deal with anyone's drama today.
As I stepped out of my room, my bhabhi’s voice called out from the kitchen. "Jhanvi, jaldi kar, nashta kar le pehle!" (Jhanvi, hurry up and have breakfast first!)
I groaned but didn’t bother replying. The moment I walked into the living room, I saw my brother sitting on the couch with his usual lazy morning posture, sipping his chai. "Nashta nahi kiya?" he asked, his eyes still glued to his phone.
"I’m in a hurry,” I muttered, grabbing the paratha from the kitchen counter wrapped in foil paper.
I dashed toward the door. " Bye Bye everyone” I muttered, rushing out of the flat, not bothering to listen further.

I quickly exited the building, my steps hurried as I made my way to the nearby railway station. The bustling sounds of Mumbai greeted me, but I was too focused on getting to college to pay much attention to the noise.
The local train was the best option, especially during rush hour. I squeezed into the crowded compartment, managing to find a small spot by the door, holding on tightly as the train jerked forward. The familiar motion of the train made me feel oddly calm, and within twenty minutes, I found myself standing in front of my college gate.
Now, I just had to face the day, the project, and of course, Vivaan.
___
As soon as Meera and I stepped into the canteen, our eyes landed on Vivaan and his group sitting at their usual spot. Sarthak, as always, was at the center of attention, laughing at something Ruchika had said while Ananya shook her head in exasperation. Vivaan sat a little apart, sipping his coffee, his eyes flickering towards us for a moment before he looked away.
