Excuses

Excuses excuses.

I can't stand when athletes make stupid excuses to get out of things.

For example, I was at cheer practice the other day, and we went to the weight room and we were running laps around the gym.

Well, the day before, this girl got elbowed in the nose and she had to go to the doctor yada yada yada.

So fast forward back to that day. As we were conditioning she just sat there in the bleachers and when I asked her why she wasn't conditioning with us, she said "my nose hurts".

What does your nose hurting have to do with your arms lifting weights? What does your nose hurting have to do with running laps? What does your nose hurting have to do with push-ups?

I was so...irritated. See me being an Allstar cheerleader I know what it takes to be an athlete.

No one cares if your nose hurts you still have to do all your stunting, all your tumbling, and all your jumps FULLOUT.

Not only just in Allstar cheer but in any other sport. It doesn't matter if your injured (unless it's extreme like a broken rib or something) you still have to do everything. FULL. OUT.

And what's worse is that the coaches didn't do anything about it. They let her sit out of the conditioning but when it came time to do the cheers and play games, she was miraculously healed and could do it no problem.

Like where was that healing when the rest of us were working out butts to get better but you were just sitting there? Foth.

If you're going to call yourself an athlete, you have to commit yourself to the sport you are doing. Which means, you do what ever it takes to be the best.

Whether or not, your nose hurts.
