Author's POV

Avantika stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her black outfit. She put on her most expensive watch and slipped on her black boots, feeling confident and ready to take on the day. She had a meeting with a potential client later that morning.

As she entered her office, Ekansh was already waiting for her, looking tense. He was sitting in one of the chairs in front of her desk, his eyes fixed on her.

"What's wrong?" Avantika asked, noticing the concern etched on Ekansh's face. She walked over to her desk and set down her bag.

"Lilly didn't come to office," Ekansh said, his voice laced with worry. "And she's not picking up my calls. I've been trying to reach her for the past two hours, but there's no reply."

Avantika's expression remained neutral, but a hint of concern flickered in her eyes. She had known Lilly for a long time, and it was unlike her to not show up to work without a word.

"She must be busy with something," Avantika said calmly, trying to reassure Ekansh. But Ekansh was not convinced.

"No, Avantika, this is not like Lilly," Ekansh said, his brow furrowed with worry. "She always informs us if she's not coming to office. Today, there's no information, no message, nothing. I'm getting really worried about her."

Avantika's expression softened slightly, and she gestured for Ekansh to sit down. "Drink some water, Ekansh. I'll find Lilly. Nothing will happen to her."

Ekansh nodded, but he still looked worried. Avantika tried to reassure him with a smile, but she couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that was growing in her stomach.

Just then, Avantika's phone rang, shrill in the silence. She glanced at the screen, frowning at the unknown private number. For a moment, she thought of ignoring it, but something made her hesitate.

She picked up the call, her voice firm. "Hello?"

On the other end of the line, Avantika heard a faint crying sound. Her heart skipped a beat as she quickly recognized the voice - it was Lilly.

But before she could respond, a stranger's voice cut in, sending a chill down Avantika's spine.

"Hello, Miss Shekhawat," the unknown voice said.

Avantika's grip on her phone tightened, her anger rising. "Who the hell are you and where is Lilly?" she demanded.

The stranger chuckled, a cold, menacing sound. "Calm down, sweetheart. Anger is not good for your health. If you want your P.A alive, then come to the location..." The stranger paused, giving Avantika an address. "Come alone. Don't tell anyone about this. If you did, then your P.A can't survive more. So come fast. I'm waiting for you."

Avantika's eyes narrowed, her fury boiling over. "Whoever the fuck you are, you are really messing with the wrong person. And you will regret doing this."

But before she could say anything more, the call ended, leaving Avantika seething with anger and worry. She felt a surge of adrenaline coursing through her veins, urging her to take action.

Ekansh looked at her with concern. "Avantika, what happened?"

Avantika took a deep breath, trying to calm down. "Lilly's been kidnapped," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ekansh's eyes widened in shock. "Oh my god, Avantika, what are we going to do?"

Avantika's eyes locked onto Ekansh's, her expression grim. "I'm going to get her back, Ekansh. And I need your help to do it."

Ekansh nodded, his face set with determination. "I'm with you, Avantika. Whatever you need, I'll do it."

Avantika took a deep breath, her mind racing with plans. "I'm going to go get Lilly. I'll be back in two hours. If I don't come back, track my location and come find me."
