Swift sat in front of Brightpaw. "We need to make a plan." He whispered. Brightpaw nodded in agreement. "So, first, we know that the dogs are mainly at Snakerocks, right?" Swiftpaw meowed. "Yes." Brightpaw confirmed. Swiftpaw nodded and continued. "So, we will sneak out of camp through Dirtplace." He planned in a faint whisper. "We will head straight to Snakerocks and we will defeat the dogs, and then Bluestar will have to make us warriors" He meowed in a triumphant whisper. And then Brightpaw will want to be my mate after she sees how powerfully I fight! He thought to himself.
Swiftpaw and Brightpaw walked through dirtplace without making a sound. Swiftpaw led the white she-cat with patches through the undergrowth. They finally reached Snakerocks. The dog stench overpowered every other scent. Brightpaw looked uncertain. "Are you sure this is safe?" She asked, looking very nervous. "Dont worry, there's nothing here!" Swiftpaw assured her confidently. Suddenly, a dog's muzzle was visable. Scarlet drops splattered on the ground as Swiftpaw clawed the dog.
More dogs appeared. Brightheart yowled in pain as a dog raked its claws down her flank. Swiftpaw glanced back at her. When he did so, a dog slashed his face. Swiftpaw was flung backwards. He bit the dog and clawed ferociously. blood splattered onto the ground, both of cat and dog. Out of nowhere, a blood curdling screech split through the air. Swiftpaw turned and was horrified at what he saw. Brightpaw eye was gone!!!! Brightpaw fell to the ground, one eye and one ear left on her body. Swiftpaw guarded her protectively.
"Swiftpaw, what are you doing? Run.." Brightpaw murmured. Swiftpaw didn't listen. "It's my fault this happened, so I'm going to save you or die trying. I'm so sorry, Brightpaw. You're gonna have to be a Warrior for both of us. He thought to himself. He fought harder tahn a whole partial of warriors, and then a dog closed its jaws around Swiftpaws neck. but Swiftpaw left for StarClan on peace. Right before he had taken his last breath, he knew that Brightpaw was safe. Unconscious, but safe. His life was the last way he showed the cat he loved what he owed her.
