I looked over the amount of suitcases and boxes in my now bare room. My father has been given a new job so I get to go to boarding school. Great, huh? It would be if this wasn't the start of the second term. I am going to be that freak student that comes in during the middle of the year that no one talks to. Fun. I take one last glance at the room that used to be mine for years and years and walk out the door as tears sting my eyes. My parents were waiting in the car and the movers would drive the boxes to my boarding school.
"Come on, Vanessa. Time to go." My father says as I slowly walk to the car. I reluctantly pull openly the door and throw my body in as a sop escapes my lips. I stare out the window of the car as the town I used to know rushes by.

"We're here, Vanessa" my father announces as I wake up.
"Okay." I respond glumly. My father opens the car door as I grab my backpack and brush past him. We reach the house that I am going to be staying in. It is an old looking Victorian house that has very squeaky steps. I knock on the door and I hear very fast footsteps. "Oh you're here! Come in come in. My name is Helen and I am your house mother. This is the living room and your room is upstairs..." She says as I look around. The house is very nice, old and homey looking. "Thank you, can I see my room,Helen." I ask politely. "Of course dearie." She responds as she leads me up the stairs. "This is the library and up here is the attic." She says as she points to many different doors. I open the door that leads to my room and see that it is painted a sea foam green and has a floor to ceiling bookshelf. The bed is in the comer of the room and the desk and closet on the opposite wall. "As you can see your luggage was dropped off earlier this morning for you to unpack." She says as she leaves the room and closes the door behind her.
