Note: A lot of this will be repeat posted from the normal Dreamlist Collective chapter, but we want to provide info for those who haven't read that chapter!
The Dreamlist Collective is a collaboration among authors to help promote our books and gain exposure by creating reading lists with each other's books. Dreamland will also create a reading list with all of the participating books to help with the promotion.
The Open Novella Contest is a yearly ambassador run event over on that challenges writers to complete a novella in three months based on a list of prompts that you can choose from! If you've never heard of the ONC before, head on over to the official profile for more information! This Dreamlist is for ONC entries only.
And now, for the most important question...
🍋 WHAT IS THE LEMON CULT? 🍋
The Lemon Cult, formerly known as the Mango Cult, is an inside joke from our discord server, where one of our members (the lovely SuVida777 ) joked about hitting "three mangoes with one stone" last year. This has escalated to many Dreamlanders adding mangoes into their ONC ideas in 2024 in increasingly creative ways. This year, we've moved on to lemons. While adding a lemon into your story is not required to participate in Dreamlist, please feel free to do so! Join the chaos! You know you want to ;)
If your book meets the requirements listed below, it can be entered into the applicable reading list. If you enter into the reading list, you will have to create that reading list on your profile with the other authors' books in it.
To help keep everyone's lists up to date, every two weeks, we will tag all participants to remind them to re-look at their lists and add any books they don't yet have. If you are on the Dreamland discord, we can also tag you there in case you don't check your Wattpad notifications often. During this check-in, also let us know if you have had any username/book title changes or if you have removed your book from Wattpad so that we can update our lists.
Since ONC is all about fun and chill, you can combine your regular ONC 2025 lists with Dreamlist. Don't worry about creating a Dreamlist-only one. While we (your friendly Dreamlist Collective Team) will be keeping tabs to make sure everyone is participating fairly and keeping up with the others from our ONC Lemon Cult list, feel free to add as many outside books as you would like. Support your fellow lemons!!
(This list will remain on our profile until July 1st, 2025, though no new forms will be accepted after March 17, 2025.)
Requirements
--- Be participating in the Open Novella Contest.
--- Have the tag #dreamlandbooks added to your book.
--- Be part of the community in some way (join one of the book clubs, be a reviewer or graphic designer, be in the discord)
--- Write in English.
—-OPTIONAL: Feel free to add #lemoncult to your story for extra fruity goodness.

You can enter more than one book if you have more than one ONC entry! If you do not make it through a round of judging, but you are still participating in ONC, you are still eligible for Dreamlist!
