After my dad left, Jada brought my bag into my room and started unpacking it into a dresser next to my bed. I looked at Tatiana's side. It was bare except for a picture frame on her nightstand. I walked over to it and picked it up. There was a pretty girl, Tatiana, and a woman-maybe mid forties- hugging and smiling. "Who's the new chick?" someone asked behind me. I turned around. A girl stood there wearing a hospital gown. She stood five foot nothing and looked healthy thin but still skinnier than I could ever be. She had long dark waves that fell right below her ribs and piercing green eyes. She had a Latina complexion except for the eyes. I put my hand out, "I'm Peri Warren, your new roommate." Tatiana smirked and shook my hand, "So business type-shaking hands. I'm Tatiana Ramirez." Jada left and told us dinner was at 5:30. She mainly told T, which is what Tatiana told me to call her. "So Periwinkle? What's up with that?" T asked looking up from a book. I shrugged, "My mom was an artist before she was a cop. She wanted a unique name for her kid." T nodded and went back to her book. She was an interesting conversationalist.
