Wheel

It was your first time behind the wheel
your first time driving on the road
but maybe the last time you checked you're phone
What went wrong?
Hadn't you been paying attention?
You heard a beep
You picked up you're phone
you saw a message from a friend
you replied to it
instead of ignoring it
You let go of the wheel
and suddenly you crashed
and went off the road
You made a huge mistake
now it's too late
You should've had both hands on the wheel

Probably one of my easier poems to write. There's a message behind this one about the consequence of texting and driving and that it isn't safe because your putting your life at risk and the lives of others.
