She was bold,
Brave,
Compassionate.

She knew how to be tender,
While still strong and independent.

She was the strongest woman alive,
And the dearest to my heart.

She was a rock,
Mighty as the Grand Canyon,
But at the same time she was weak,
Sometimes she needed me to lend her strength.

She was joyful,
She was beautiful,
She was my world.

She was human,
She made mistakes.

She laughed,
Sang,
Hollered,
And shouted with glee.

She cried,
Sighed,
Screamed,
And needed to be picked up.

She was rooted in my heart,
And still is.
