Sita🌻

I was scrolling through Instagram reels, my index finger mindlessly swiping up. A reel caught my attention—it asked me to send it to a friend I’ve known for over ten years. Without much thought, I shared it with Divya.

Why am I even listening to reels right now?

I scrunched my nose and kept scrolling when a message from Divya popped up.

Divya: You idiot, you don’t even see the reels I send you, do you?

Me: What do you mean, bro?

Divya: You don’t love me at all! 🥹

Me: Where is this coming from? I literally sent you that reel about best friends the moment I saw it. Because I love you.

Divya: That’s the problem! I already sent you that reel and even tagged you, but you didn’t even see it!

Me: Oops… Sorry, darling.

Divya: Don’t "sorry" me! You barely send me reels, and now you don’t even watch the ones I send?

Me: How am I supposed to see everything when you flood me with 20+ reels a day?

Divya: That’s my love for you! Instagram has an equation—the more reels you send, the more love you have for someone.

Me: Got it. Lesson learned, madam.

Divya: So, what’s your silent monk of a husband doing? Still ignoring you?

She’s my best friend for a reason—I told her everything, even about my confession.

It’s been a week. A week since I confessed. A week of silence from Arjun.

He still does everything like before—takes care of things, asks me if I need anything, but only through texts. No eye contact. No real conversation. If I try to talk, he just nods and walks away.

Even the little things have changed. He used to wash the dishes while I cooked. Now, he does them before I even start, just to avoid me.

Me: Haizzz! He’s still ignoring me. I’m in the hall, and he’s in the bedroom. If I go there, he walks out. So, I’ve decided to just stay here.

Divya: That’s why I told you to use my idea.

Her "brilliant" idea? Make Arjun jealous by getting close to Siddharth. But I can't drag Siddharth into this.

Me: Not happening.

Divya: Did you tell him you’re leaving tonight?

Me: No. I’ll go talk to him now.

Divya: Text him, just like he does. Let him taste his own medicine.

I chuckled at her schemes and got up. Enough was enough. It was time to face my husband.

"Umm, Arjun!" I called out as I stood before him, my voice hesitant yet firm.

He immediately stood up, avoiding my gaze, looking anywhere but at me.

"Satish is waiting outside. I need to leave,"he blurted out, already moving toward the door.

I scoffed, crossing my arms. "Don't fool me, Arjun. Satish is still in the hospital with a fractured leg. How exactly is he getting here? By flying?"

He stopped in his tracks, muttering something under his breath.

"If you need anything—" he started, but I cut him off.
