¿Jealousy vs. Lust?

Ch. 9

Weeks later, Regina was back at work and in her own apartment. Robin had also been deep down in work hours. Alas, they didn't spend as much together as they hoped.

Work had been busy all day, everyday. Regina promoted to not only an all round marine biologist but also a part time dolphin trainer. The first time she got to train Ronnie Mr. & Mrs. Locksley were very impressed. Although the fact that they only might've given her that promotion because she was with Robin now didn't miss the chance to slip through her mind now and then. Regina didn't complain, she was very satisfied with her paycheck. She wasn't even sure if Robin had told his parents about them.

Robin was doing great at work. He was and is a very well known architect. Robin is in the verge making the plans for a very important building. A hospital specially for cancer patients. Robin drew most maybe all of his attention towards this project. Sensitive to the whole cancer issue, Robin's half brother John had died from cancer the year he wasn't in New York. Something Regina was completely oblivious of.

Today was busy, but Regina was on lunch and her attempts to make time with Robin never failed. She had put on some black skinny jeans and a grey blouse that was just a tad see through. That didn't really stop Regina from wearing my  black bra.  It was exactly noon when Regina left to go get some lunch for her and Robin. She decided to go with subway, nothing to fancy. While on her way doubts seemed to sneak their way into her mind. What if he was busy? Maybe she should just not go? Was she being to pushy? Would she be intruding his space?

Regina has only been in at his work once or twice & that was last year. They didn't really like to invade their work space, where they each felt that they were doing exactly what they needed to be doing. However, Regina missed Robin. That's a good enough excuse, right?

As Regina came closer and closer to Robins office she heard faint laughs and giggles. To whom they belonged to obviously a girl.
'Must've gotten a new office.. nope same office okay. Alright, calm down. All is good. ' Regina thought to herself.

She knocked on the door ever so slightly not knowing if she'll regret walking in. Last time this sort of thing happened was with Zelena and both Daniel & Graham. No doubt Regina expected the worst and was ready to endure the pain. Although a part of her didn't want to, didn't want to think like that. She didn't want to have to feel jealousy coursing through her veins.

She heard a sigh coming from the inside along with a giggle of sorts and finally the deep accented voice she'd longed to hear all day say come in. Regina slowly opened the door and peaking in she asked if he was busy.

"No, of course not my love. Come in, sit." Said Robin.
"This is Ruby, she's the new intern. Ruby, this is Regina Mills. Ruby was just telling me about how Mr. Gold our boss kind of reminds her of a golden retriever, because of his hair." In mid sentence Ruby starts laughing and begging Robin not to tell me. Ruby looked young, maybe too young. Let's not mention her work attire that basically had Regina eyeing her up and down in disgust. Ruby was wearing an outrageously short high waisted leather skirt with a thin not to mention also SHORT layer of fabric covering her top partially showing her stomach. 'Why not just come to work in your bra, I mean maybe you should go back to that store you bought it from and ask for the rest of it' Regina thought.

Regina took the liberty in sitting on the love couch Robin had in his office. As Robin and Ruby conversed for about 30 more minuets, Regina sat there on her phone. That wasn't all she was doing, she would glance up and watch them talk. More so often then she'd like to. Regina couldn't help but notice every time she'd look up Ruby had taken a couple steps forward and leaned forward against the desk. Doing so while slipping flirtatious comments towards Robin. Even though Regina didn't see much competition, maybe only the fact that she was younger. Regina's cheeks flushed with heat and veins pulsed with a mixture of jealousy and slight anger.

Robin had noticed Regina's glances between him, Ruby and her phone &  Ruby's movements when he looked at his watch for the time. He looked uneasy, quickly found her eyes and had told her he should get back to work. As Ruby made her way to the fort Regina stood and shot Robin a glare.

" I should probably get going too. I mean since you should get back to work. Wouldn't want to keep you from all the work that's pleading for your attention." Regina said more coldly than intended. Robin was flabbergasted at her statement, filled with confusion. Up until he remembered how Regina would glare at him and Ruby while they talked. His confusion slowly began to ease as he came to a conclusion. She was jealous, how cute.

Robin wiggled his eyebrows and the corners of his lips curved making out a smirk. He stood up and buttoned the jacket of his suit, responding. "Regina.." He trailed off. She stopped in her tracks and turned to look at him.
"You're jealous.?" Said Robin sternly but with a hint of confusion.

Regina scoffed and rolled her eyes, nearly letting out a chuckle.
" Jealous. Me? Of her? Yeah, no." She tried to keep her voice down. This time she was the one to grow uneasy as Robin walked painfully slow towards her.

" So you wouldn't care if I did this to her," Robin said as he snaked his hand around her waist from the back while the other slowly moved her hair to one side. She could feel the warmth of his breath on her neck & let out a breathless no. Unconsciously she found herself leaning into Robin's touch.
"Mm, how-about-this.?" He asked, each word interrupted by him peppering kisses onto her neck. Finding herself in between Robin and the door now, completely oblivious of how they got to that position.

" You think you're real cute, don't you? Real cute, huh? " Regina asked with a smirk, he shrugged and gave her a smirk. Leaning in for another kiss, Regina set her hand on Robin's chest and said " I think so too," and pulled him in for a passionate kiss.

Looking for the door knob while the kiss, Regina knew if she didn't leave now she'd be late to work. She slightly pushed the door open and stumbled backwards as did Robin. A frown glazed over his lips and he grabbed Regina's waist tighter.

" & where are you going?" Robin's eyes filled with lust, they looked darker than usual. Regina explained the whole having to get back to work & how Robin spent most of his time talking to Ruby. After that Regina gave him a peck, their lips lingered longer than usual. She quickly turned around and walked out his office then building. All the way to her car with a goofy grin on her face.

A/N- I feel absolutely horrible for updating so late. There isn't any reasonable excuse so just let me apologize, I'm sorry so so so so so SORRY :( Anyways this chapter is probably crap, but at least I actually updated. You all probably don't care but tomorrow's my birthday, although I'm pretty sure I'm getting sick😂but Yay, 7-25🎉
