"Aahhhh!" I screamed, clutching Vansh's hand tightly. But before I could process what was happening, I realized—we had already landed. We were standing perfectly still, unharmed.

Vansh let out a breathless chuckle, his eyes scanning the space around us. "Oh my god! I never knew my father had a place like this."

I followed his gaze, taking in our surroundings. But all I saw was a plain, empty room. "What's so special here? It's just... a room," I said, unimpressed.

Vansh turned to me, eyebrows raised. "Are you serious? Can't you see what's right in front of us?" His voice held a mix of disbelief and excitement.

Confused, I shifted my eyes forward. All I saw was a blue-painted wall.

"You’re seriously amazed by a blue wall?" I asked, still not understanding what he was seeing.

Vansh’s POV

Is this girl out of her mind? How can she not see the massive robotic machine standing right in front of us?

I opened my mouth to ask her again, but before I could, a voice cut me off.

"She can't see me… at least not yet..." The robotic machine spoke.

"What?" I asked, completely confused.

"You’re Vansh Singhania. For the past three years, you, your father, and your brother have been running a business... No, I'm not talking about the legal kind. I’m talking about the business you conduct at night. But for the last two years... you've been searching for the medium—a person who can communicate with me. Someone who sees us, just like you, but is also a virgin, so they can be the perfect medium." The robotic voice laid out the truth so plainly, it left me speechless.

"How do you know all this?" I stammered, trying to process it all.

"Your father built me for this. To choose the medium. Since she cannot see me, you need to ask her if she is a virgin." The robotic voice was direct, and my eyes widened in shock.

"Are you kidding me? If I ask her that, she’ll kill me!" I said, glancing over at Harshitha, who was giving me a confused look, wondering why I seemed to be talking to myself.

"Her virginity is crucial. You must ask her." The robotic voice urged, with a tone that couldn’t be ignored.

I gulped, then turned to Harshitha.

"I need to ask you something," I said, my voice a little shaky.

"Yeah?" she responded, clearly still puzzled by my behavior.

"Are you... are you a virgin?" The words slipped out before I could stop myself.

She fell silent for a moment, her face unreadable. Then she spoke slowly. "Why are you asking me that?"

And just then, the robotic voice came again. "Tell her about your business."

I sighed, my nerves getting the best of me. "Um… Harshitha, remember I told you we’ve been looking for a girl for the past two years? Well, we… we’re actually looking for a medium." I stammered, unsure how to make this sound less insane.

"Medium? What the hell is that now?" She threw her hands up in frustration. "You know what? I really don’t care! Just get me out of this damn room!"

Her anger made me flinch, but I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself.

"Look," I said, stepping toward her cautiously. "The thing is, I can see this big robotic machine, and all this time, I’ve been talking to it. It told me I had to ask about your virginity because it’s important for being the medium."

She stared at me as though I’d lost my mind. She opened her mouth to say something, but I cut her off.

"We’re ghost hunters."
