"So you're not even going to tell us?"

"Come on, Jamie. Don't you like surprises?" Reagan teased.

Nope. Not even a little bit.

Parker kept walking past the common room and into Hunter's corridor. "You were right, Reagan. His power is over something we all have. Wait until you see it!" He said happily. We came upon Hunter's room to see Elliot sitting criss-cross-apple-sauce on the floor. He had the tiniest bit of a smile, with his eyebrows raised and an amused expression on his face. When he saw Parker, Reagan, and I walk in, his smile grew just a little bit. So he is capable of emotion. Hunter was standing in the middle of the room, under the shower head, with a big goofy grin on his face that totally unmasked his whole bad boy facade. Reagan rushed over to him and hugged him. He furrowed his eyebrows and looked a little confused and surprised for a second, but only a second. He gripped her tight and spun her around while she squealed. After a few seconds he set her down and laughed.

"Sorry to ruin this smile-fest but can you tell us what your power is?" I asked. I've so far figured out that I'm not very patient.

The old Hunter was back in an instant.

"Oops. Sorry, Sunshine. I didn't realize we were cutting in to your smashing things time." he sneered.

"Well, you are. So hurry up before I decide to take advantage of the fact that nothing in here is mine and I can destroy whatever I want."

He just smirked and closed his eyes. At first I thought he was ignoring me, but then the shower turned on.

I'm not talking about a nice steady stream like I got. The thing freaking burst.

Hunter just stood there under the water, furrowing his eyebrows again and clenching his fists. Slowly, the water started to swirl around him. After about 15 seconds, the water made its way back inside the pipes and and he just stood there, completely dry. Elliot, Parker and I had been standing against the wall, so we didn't get wet. Reagan, on the other hand, had been standing close by and was completely soaked.

"Oh crap. I'm so sorry Reagan I didn't mean-" Hunter had just noticed Reagan's attire.

"Don't be," she cut him off. "I'm so happy for you!" she flashed a dazzling smile and Hunter gave back a sheepish grin. But then he stumbled. Elliot was behind him in an instant.

"Are you okay?" he asked quietly.

"Yeah, I think I'm fine. Thanks man."

Elliot backed away but didn't take his eyes off of Hunter. Parker sat back with a worried expression on his face and his eyes darted between Elliot and Hunter.

Uh, what even is going on right now? "What do you guys think we are supposed to eat around here?" I asked, trying to ease some of the tension in the room. Elliot glanced at me and Parker seemed to relax just a little bit.

Hunter spoke up. "I could eat."

"Okay, Water Boy. But what?" if he was calling me princess, I was calling him water boy.

"Water Boy? Really clever."

"I have a few other choice names I could call you."

"Can we find something to eat please?" This time it was Parker who spoke.

"Lead the way."

We walked into the common room a little while after. Parker and Hunter took turns asking for food, but no one found anything anywhere. I guess we needed to find it on our own. We all sat around in our mutual room and talked for a while. I had known these people for literally a day and I could tell what that paper had said would be true. I was already considering them to be my family. Brothers and a sister that I don't know if I'd ever had before. But I'm happy with these ones.

Not like I'd ever tell them that though.
