The Stupid Things I Did For Nothing-chapter 1

"I didn't mean it like that "  I said while laughing to my best friend, Kassy, who was way off and needed to be corrected.  " When I said that he was cute I didn't mean that I like him.  He is just a good friend that happens to be really good looking" I continued to explain to her, but she didn't believe me because I was smiling the whole time.

"Well even if you were interested in him like the way I thought  you were, you still wouldn't be able to date him." Kassy responed as she grabbed her science, math, and english books out of her locker.

"Yay, don't remind me about his oh so perfect girlfriend who is the captain of the cheerleading scad, and has perfect grades, and bla bla bla." I said while rolling my eyes.

As I closed my locker door I held my breath, because there standing across the hall was the boy I had been talking about, Sam.  Of corse no one could hear a word we were saying over the nose in the hall from everyone elsa talking.

Do you know the feeling when your in love and see the person that your are in love with and your heart freezes, and you forget all about what is going on around you?  Well that was me.  You see when I was closing me looker I was balancing all my books in the other hand, and as oblivious that I was to my soundings I didn't see the person next to me open his locker.

Bam!  The steel door hit me in the side of my face nocking me to the ground.  Me books and papers were scatred all around the hall.  I looked up to see Sam racing to help me.  Kassy was already on her knees trying to catch all the flying papers.  As the pain hit me I reached my to touch my throuping temple.

"Are you ok Emily?  That was some plow you took to the head there." Sam said to me while stacking my books.  He looked up at me waiting to hear my answer, and our eyes meet.  I was lost in his big brown eyes, as if being stuck in a maze that you don't want to leave.

"Ya... I am fine.." my answer was weak and cut off by the person standing behind Sam.

"Sam lets start heading to class the bell is going to ring soon."  said a skinny blond, aka Sam's girlfriend, Rylea.  Sam handed me my books and stood up to face her.

"Ok, babe.  I just need to get my stuff from my looker so I'll meet you there." he said as he started to walk to his locker.

Once Sam was out of hearing range Rlyea turned to me and said," You're in my way!"

"In your way of what?" I asked knowing she isn't talking about her looker or some other thing like that.

"In the way of my relationship, so keep out of it !"  she answered, her voice mixed with anger and hatred. As she turned and walked pass me pushing me with her shoulder, I grabbed her delicate wrist and pulled her to face me.

"He is my friend, that means that I will stay his friend and I WILL interfear!" I barked back to her in outer outrange.  She glared at me, her eyes filled with hatred and doted with pain from my grip.  Rylea stared staight into my cristal blue eyes, that were shaped with anger.

Rylea's  gaze fell upon Kassy, who was standing next to me.  In one arm she held her books, and her free arm  was on her hip.  Rylea was out numbered and knew it.  I let go of her fragile wrist that had finger marks from my grip.  She sneered and marched away to meet Sam for class.

The bell rang and then hall was flooded with students running off to class.  I said good-by to Kassy and walked off to history satisfied and happy.  For now at least...
