In the middle of that dark moonless night, Kardia's villagers woke up to the fires burning their fields and running straight towards their cottages.
Screams everywhere, while the men tried to get some water from the river, Mirai led the guards on their way into those small houses.
"Take anyone that could be useful to the king"
He said while watching from afar.
The smell of smoke and the sounds of fire eating everything up was not going to stop him from serving the king.
Not even the hopeless screams nor children's crying voices.
It was very loud yet inside his head was very quiet. All he knew was that he had to do it.
A little farther from where the hunter's leader was. Yet another fire was set across three other villages, while the guards had kept a lot of hostage women.
Evan, Rose and Alex. Each one of them had to handle one by themselves.
Robbing the helpless people from everything they had, walking away with no regret.
It was a horrible scene to wake up to one the sunrays reached those villages, most of it was burnt to the ground.
No scream where heard, just a lot of painful cries for those who lost not only their homes but their beloved wives, sister, friends and daughters.
"Make sure everyone in Lydia knows of this, I need the prince to hear of these news as soon as possible"
Mirai said to the guards before he walked on his way, far from the damage he just caused.
But right behind the walls that separates Kardia from Orodia, a young man was walking around the marketplace.
Carrying the things he just bought, heading back to a small rented room.
Hawk sighed once he stepped in.
He put the paper bags on the table quietly.
Then looked back at the young black haired man who was still on the cold floor.
"You really won't move, will you?"
Hawk asked, getting ignored.
Elmer looked so unaware of his surroundings, as if he was trapped inside his own mind.
"At least eat something"
Hawk said while walking towards the prince, leaned down to check on him.
"Hey, are you alright?"
Hawk asked.
Elmer looked up replying,
"No"
"Oh my God, your eyes are red, where you crying??"
Hawk asked in surprise, He did not expect what he saw.
"Get up"
Hawk said,
"No"
Elmer replied.
"Fine"
Hawk replied, sighing then got up towards the table, he washed on apple, put it on a plate together with the bread, cheese and the rest of the food.
He then went back to Elmer and put the plate down.
"Eat"
He said.
It came off as an order because Elmer looked pale and tired.
"No"
Elmer replied, turning his head away.
