Chapter 33

I woke up and did my usual morning routine. Brayden's going back to school today and it's 3 months till I graduate high school. Which is really weird. Prom is coming up... I think Dylan and I are going together... He didn't ask me though. I left for school and Dylan was waiting for me. "Hey Steph! I have a surprise for you at lunch... Meet me in the gym." He told me.

"Okay..." I said kind of suspiciously. He laughed and bent down to give me kiss. We arrived at the school and Dyl and I separated. Tyler came in a few moments later. We were sitting in homeroom and Cody came in and I could feel Dylan tense up. I turned around and held his hand.

"Hey Stephanie? Does anyone sit here?" Cody asked.

"Just my shit face cousin... So nah you're good." I replied laughing a bit.

"Bryan? Oh god I hated him... Sorry. He still an annoying jock?" He asked and I nodded. We talked for the rest of homeroom then made our way to our first class. I know Dylan is getting very jealous because he hasn't said a word. He is most likely worried that if he says something mean then I'll be mad at him. But in the end, I know that all he is, is jealous. I turned around and looked at him but he just shook his head. I sighed and turned around then rested my chin on my hand. The class ended and next was gym. I hung out with Kacey today because Dylan needed to relax. Next was lunch... I had to meet Dylan in the gym. So I changed, put my books in my locker and walked to the gym.

I walked in the gym and the lights were off. "Hello? Dyl?" I echoed. One light turns on revealing Tyler. He's in a tux and he has a carton with drinks in them. "What? Tyler? What are you doing here? Where's Dylan?" He just smirked. Another light turned on revealing Dyl. He was also wearing a tux and let me tell you... He looked hot. He was holding a sign. It said, 'Steph- Will you Shake it off with me at prom?' I realized that the drinks Tyler was holding were shakes. "Dyl, I'd love to shake it off with you at prom." He smiled. I ran and jumped into his arms. We kissed and took our shakes and walked into the cafeteria. Cody looked very confused but once he figured it out he looked down. What's his problem?

The end of the day came and I saw Cody walking. "Hey Cody!" I called and he turned around.

"Hey Stephanie! What's up?"

"Nothing much... But Dyl asked me to prom... So can you come dress shopping with me and my brother. Brayden was in on this the whole time so he called to make an appointment... So you in?"

"Yeah sure!" Cody said.

"Okay so come to my house. After dress shopping we can get pizza or something." He smiled and nodded. We got to my house and once everyone was ready, we drove to this dress shop. We got in and I didn't really know what I was looking for. So Brayden chose a few dresses, so did Cody, me on the other hand didn't really see anything. I just picked up a few dresses. I turned down a few of the dresses Brayden and Cody chose so I ended up with 3 dresses. The first one I picked out. I tried it on. Let me tell you, it was prettier on the hanger. I was tight at the top and had jewels going around it the bottom flowed out and was teal while the top was black. It didn't fit my body right at all. I walked out and a look of disgust formed on Brayden's face.

"Trust me Brayden, I know. This dress doesn't fit me right at all. It looked way better on the hanger." I said laughing.

"Yeah try on the next one." Cody said with a genuine smile. I nodded and walked back in. This one Brayden picked out. It was one strap and on that one strap there were jewels. It was open at the sides and it was all black. It was a little too open for my liking and I think Brayden will say no because it's too open. I walked out and Brayden started shaking his head.

"Hell no. Change. Too showy. Dylan will be so horny just please change." Brayden pleaded and I laughed.

"I think you look hot." Cody said. "Yup I can tell why Brayden hates it and I do too. NEXT!" I laughed again. I walked back in and changed into the final dress which is the one Cody picked out. It had a v-neckline and it was all jewels on the top half. It had to straps and also went into a v in the back. The bottom was coral. It was beautiful. I loved it. I came out with a huge smile on my face.

"I love it." Was the first thing I said. Brayden gave me a thumbs up and Cody said,

"Stephanie, you look beautiful as always but you look absolutely stunning in that dress." I smiled.

"I'm gonna get it. Who knew Cody had such a good sense of style?" I said laughing slightly. I took off the dress and put on my clothes and paid for it. We got home and ordered pizza. "Thank you guys for coming with me. I appreciate it. Especially since Cody picked out my dress and Brayden's dress was made for a future stripper and the one I picked out... Looked better on the hanger." I laughed and so did everyone else. There was a knock on the door signaling that the pizza was here. Brayden paid and we were sitting on the couch eating pizza. After like 20 minutes, we were all full.

"I'm going home. I havta finish up homework and such." Cody announced.

"Okay." I said getting up and walked him to the front door. "Bye Cody! Thanks for coming and picking out my dress..." I said giving him a hug.

"No problem Stephanie." He planted a kiss on my cheek then left. I closed the door and did my homework myself. I looked at my dress and got really excited. Eventually, I finished my homework and drifted off to sleep.
