MONDAY
I have been blacking-out for the past two days!
Well. But I am happy that today went by without any black-outs. But, something much worse happened...
When I woke up, I was lying on my bed. Brayan, Jas and Professor Wolfbane stood at my side...man! That guy was given a standing ovation by the hair on the back of my neck. He looked normal, but still, what happened yesterday made me doubt whether that was Professor Wolfbane, or Starkrow.
'Feeling okay?' Jas asked. Her voice was the only medicine I needed. As it went in through my ears and spread within my body, I felt rejuvenated. 'What happened to you? Where did you go?' Jas asked.
I wanted to tell her everything, but what came out of my mouth was 'I...don't know. I changed into a dog, ran out of the class and after that...I don't remember.'
I have no idea what stopped me from telling the truth. I had the incident crystal clear in my mind, yet I couldn't spell it out. Was that guy meddling with me again?
'You did not change into any dog John,' he opened up his mouth at last. And his voice was his on this time, fortunately. You changed into a Kriyomunac, the most dangerous hound in the whole universe. They serve Starkrow.'
'WHAT!' I exclaimed, although I knew that already. I was doing it against my will, like somebody was playing with my mind. And it was freaking me out from the inside.
'And that's not a good omen. Brayan and Jasmine, explain him everything I told you. I want him in my office in fifteen minutes.'
'As you say Professor.' Brayan answered.
Professor Wolfbane rose, snapped his fingers and vanished.
'Explain what?' I asked.
'John,' Jas said, 'you remember Professor Da Vinci explaining us about Starkrow, the brother of Kako?'
Chill went down my spine. 'Yup.'
'Well, he exists. But just as a spirit. You see, after the first great war between the Nerds and Kako was finally over they came to know about Kako's brother, Starkrow, through Cloceous, the lord of time. He told them that Starkrow was Kako's mastercard, which he would've used as a last resort measure. Starkrow is actually just a soul. A soul made of pure evil. That soul is nearly useless without a body which is able to host it. Once the soul is fused with a body of such kind, the power unleashed will be in the least equal to the power of Skee himself. Kako had found one body and had ordered that if something happens to him that body should immediately be fused with Starkrow's soul. And that had been done. But the soul needed some time to get acquainted with the new body. Till then, it could only control it partially.
'A great man named Borberious, ex-general of Jueses's army and a great inventor, realized the threat Starkrow possessed. He asked for bits of the Nerds from Skee and a bit of Skee himself and trapped them into five Gems-  Agner's spirit was trapped in a red gem, a green gem was designed to hold the spirit of Zouther, a blue gem for Aquos and a white gem for Skee. All the rest of the Nerds' had bits of their souls trapped in a yellow gem. He then designed a crown; the most beautiful golden crown, and decorated it with those five Gems. Anyone who wore that crown will have power beyond the reach of anyone, any Nerd. He can do anything at will. Borberious used it to burn Starkrow's body. It was and is, still believed that a body capable of holding Starkrow's spirit will be born once in millennia. But that crown had power beyond Borberious' control, and it burned down his own body in return. That crown and four of its Gems are missing till date. That red gem is one of those. The one Professor Wolfbane brought in the class. It is the part of the crown; the Golden Spark.'
My eyes grew wide with astonishment at the sound of those two words. So this is what he wants.
'But why are you telling me all this?' I frowned at Jas.
'Because,' Brayan said, 'you are a descendant of Borberious. Only the Lord of Hell knows in whose body does Borberious reside in at present and he has wowed to tell that only to a descendant of Borberious, for...um...security reasons.'
'WHAT? Who is he? My Great...raised to the power...um...6 grandfather? And even if he is, then what is the point?'
'Lord Skee has asked for the Golden Spark. He fears that Starkrow's going to rise soon.'
'Wait...' I asked, 'what do you mean by Borberious residing in a body? What is he? A ghost?'
'No. Its complicated to tell you about it, but...it goes like this: The soul is independent of the body. When one dies, it's actually the soul leaving the body to find a new one. It is eternal. It is like energy. It can neither be created, nor destroyed. Actually, it is the source of all energy. It can only be divided, in smaller fragments. Erm...the point is, the most convenient way to find the place where the Golden Spark is hidden is asking the soul who hid it. And for that, we need to find the body it resides currently in.'
'So, you mean,' I felt a lump in my throat, 'Professor wants me, just after I had such a delightful experience in my very first try, to meet the Lord of Hell and then go to the person who has the soul of my ancestor...but how would we get the information out of him? Mustn't he have forgotten it? I mean, we don't remember what we did in our previous birth, do we?'
'That's obvious, but all we need to do is lead that person to Lord Skee. He will scan his memory and get the address or something,' he said, then murmured, 'Then, we have another quest.'
'Brayan, weren't we suppose not to tell him about that?' Jas argued.
'We were?' Brayan frowned.
'About what?' I interrupted.
'To find the rest of the Gems,' said Brayan, 'The Golden Spark is useless without all five gems.'
'BRAYAN!' Exclaimed Jas, ' why can you not keep quiet!'
'But why me?' I interrupted again.
'Now, I think you should go.' Jas snapped her fingers, 'You will find yourself in Professor's office,' and the scene changed.
The office was the most amazing place I have ever seen. It was like the drawing room of a palace. It was fully cream and gold colored. And it wasn't golden paint, it was real, solid gold. The ceiling was plastered (or whatever you call it with Gold) with many designs and a huge symbol in the middle, the same one that was on Professor Wolfbane's jacket he used to wear on Earth. At my front was a huge room, a huge book shelf on my left filled with almost all kinds and sizes of books. After that was the Headmaster's desk, which was full glass. It looked exactly like my imagination of Bill Gates' s room.
Professor Wolfbane sat there wearing spectacles, reading a book. On my right was a shelf with different kinds of trophies and items like battle armors, photo albums and in the middle of all of it was pure gold battle armor, a sword and shield: all with that symbol. The wall on my front (about thirty meters ahead of me) was a big, super clear piece of glass; a window that showed the most beautiful scene I ever saw in my life. Multicolored mountains as a background, a river drifting through the woods, birds' melody echoed through the air- so sweet that for a moment I forgot all the troubles and tension and closed my eyes to listen to them.
'So, Master Gemison, any queries?'
'Actually yes. What is this symbol on the roof?' I asked as I spotted that symbol again on the roof. It looked like infinity encircled within.
'That? That's the Aperio, symbol of Jueses. Anything else?'
'No Sir. None till now.'
'Call me Professor, if you don't mind.'
'As you say S...er...Professor.'
'Now, I think, it's time. We should leave.' He rose and closed the book. He snapped his fingers and the scene changed, again. I now stood in front of an archway, but it had some strange purple glow at the entrance. When we reached closer, I noticed that it was actually a face of some sort of ghost; a really big face. The purple-spirit had five eyes; the one in the middle was golden and the largest and was surrounded by two silver eyes at each side. He was a spirit with just the face, which were two gates.
'Welcome, Professor Wolfbane, Principal of Jueses Gemises, descendant of-' a voice echoed.
'Er...Lord Bronos,' Professor Wolfbane looked a bit tensed,  like his deepest secrets were gonna be announced in public 'I brought company, you see.'
'I CANNOT see! I was CURSED! I am the blind Lord; part-time Lord of prophecies and spirits, and a full-time guardian of the Kozef: the Aeon Labyrinthus. I am Lord Bronos! '
'You got to be kidding,' I chuckled, 'Five shiny eyes and you still cannot see?'
'That's my curse son. Once as a kid I witnessed...something, and that bastard cursed me to posses the most beautiful but useless eyes!'
'My Lord, if you don't mind, we need to visit the Orcusdomum.'
'A farmer is sleeping,' Lord Bronos replied, 'His rooster lays an egg. When will the farmer find it?'
'That's much too simple,' Professor Wolfbane chuckled. 'Never.'
'Very well then,' he said, and the gates flung open.
'Let's go in, Master Gemison.'
The thought of going in with him, after what happened to me yesterday...man! So tempting. But something else was bugging me as well.
'S... I mean Professor, why would he not find it?'
' 'Cause roosters don't lay eggs.'
