A few days later she was getting up, ready to take on her day. "Hey little cat," she talked to her kitten.

The fluff ball responded with a meow.

Her phone began to ring just as she was putting on her work clothes.

"Hello," she said switching to speaker mode so she could tie up her hair. She had so many chores to do.

"Hey," it was a mans voice but Lilly couldn't recognize it.

"Who is this," Lilly spoke to her phone.

"It's Mike," the male voice said.

Mike...Ah yes, the guy from the schools library and from the bar. The bar...the dance...

The Kiss...

Lilly day dreams back to that dance.

With the song coming to an end he kissed her. It was a gentle firey kiss. She looked away as he stared at her wanting to look into those wonderfully beautiful blue eyes. She simply looked at him and said, "Thank you for the dance." And she returned to the bar, taking a seat next to a red head. He thought, well we're going to have to do that again.

"Did you here me?" He asked grabbing her attention out of her day dream.

"Huh. What? Sorry"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out Friday night?"

She nearly fell over! Who did this guy think he was? Where to start?
She didn't like the fact that he didn't like school or that he could stand up to his parents to go into a job he would like. Them there's the kiss, sure...she liked it but it was so sudden and she barely knew him. For all she knew he could be a murderer.

Easy girl, she told herself. He does seem to be a nice guy....maybe a bit much but none the less a nice guy...

"Hello? Earth to Lilly! You still there?" Mike said.
Lilly nearly jumped out of her skin, she hadn't said anything in a while surely he thought the line went dead.

"Yea, sorry.... let me check my schedule and get back to you. Now that you called I have your number I'll call you as soon as I know."
She still needed to think this over. She needed to call Rachel!

"Oh. Right, yea sure of course. Call when you know," Mike replied.
"Thanks for the call, I should get going talk later. Bye"
"Um yea bye."
The phone on his end dead and Lilly quickly called Rachel.

"Yea," Rachel snapped on the other end.

What was a girl to do? Could she trust this guy? She didn't even know if she liked him? Did that really matter?
We date so we can see if the other is a good match. Her mother always told her that.
But there was something off about this guy.
