Fated To À Vampire

Chapter 2

"What's your name?" Xena asked the guy, still detangling his hairs.

She is shameless and has no sense of private space.

"How old are you? Are you a teen? How did you end up here? How long have you been here?"

A long pause.

"Did they hit you? Oh my! Perhaps did they hit you so much, you can't speak? Oh my child! don't worry! Does it hurt?"

"Should we leave this shitty place then? I thought, I was ready to die, but now that I think about it, I think we should escape together! What do you think? " she said with a giggle.

The vampire was just sitting there, watching her speak so much. Yeah, he watched! His red eyes, though not visible to her, captured every single thing around him. Her glimmering eyes, her eyebrows, going up and down, tons of expressions, and her pinky lips, kept moving non-stop! 'Do people speak a lot?' he wondered. He was too naive to realize the unknown feeling, which engulfed him. If only he knew, he was attracted to her, cause she was his mate!

The soft touch of her hands over his head, made him feel something, he had never felt before. He had been in this dungeon for decades, to understand, how the world, people, and emotions worked!

It was abrupt, when those soft hands over his hands stopped moving. Him, for some reasons, felt empty and a void feeling surrounded him, again!

He curiously looked at her small face, trying to find out, the reason for that abrupt stoppage of movements. He kept looking at her face, leaning forward, trying his best to figure out what was wrong! It was just then, Xena collapsed and fell over him!

Her face fell over his left shoulders, and her arms fell down at his sides. The vampire didn't understand anything but he knew one thing for sure. That he definitely didn't want her as his prey.

He gently held her hands by her wrists, only to realise, her hands were really thin and had wounds all over. He didn't understood why, but he got mad all of a sudden.

He gently picked her up by his arms and took her into the deep and darkerst depths of the dungeon. It was then he realised, her breathing got faster and faster. He could hear her heart beats loud in his ears. Her foreheads had sweat beads and he knew something was wrong.

Holding her in his arms, the vampire turned back and started walking in the reverse direction, walking straight to the entrance! He had a strange feeling, telling him he was about to lose her and he got panicked.

He reached the gates of the dungeon, guarded by two soldiers. The soldiers were chatting and having drinks, paying no attention to the vampire that just popped out there.

"Open!" commanded, the vampire, holding Xena ever so gently in his arms.

The two soldiers turned towards the source of voice, only to get shocked at the scene in front of them. The vampire had been held captive for 20 years now and never once did he behave like this. Hell! they had never even seen him in the first place. But looking at his red eyes, they panicked and one of them started calling out,

"The vampire is trying to leave the dungeon, he will eat us! He will drink our blood. He even killed the thief girl!" he shouted. Loud and loud! Again and again!

By this time Xena's breath was very feeble and her heart beats were barely felt by the vampire. He lost his patience and kicked the door with his feets. The two guards, being scaredy cats ran away shouting, on the way stumbling over things, crying, turning back and running again.

'How pathetic!' the vampire muttered.

The impact of his foot made the door made of iron rods, change its shape. Thinking that the door is just weak, he kicked it again and again! And again, until the door collapsed and fell down in front of him.

He then moved swiftly and went out of the dungeon, carrying his precious little thing in his arms!If only that dim-witted vampire knew, it wasn't the door, which was weak, but he was just too strong for the door!
