That evening, Silen asked Idia for permission to leave Ignihyde because she needed to meet an old friend in Savanaclaw.
"Do you have an old friend in Savanaclaw?" Idia asked for confirmation. Silen nodded and used sign language to explain that she had promised her friend a reunion since they hadn't seen each other in a long time.
Idia used his super tablet to read the translated sign language. Silen made gestures to show him.
"I usually don't mind my residents going out of the dorm, even at night. But Riddle, the dorm supervisor, wants me to be strict. Just a piece of advice - be sure to come back before 11 p.m." Idia gave Silen permission to go to Savanaclaw.
With Idia's permission, Silen left Ignihyde through the dimension mirror and went straight to the Savanaclaw's dimension mirror. In no time at all, Silen had arrived in front of the Savanaclaw dormitory. Her brown eyes quickly noticed the wild, natural architecture of the dorm, which was inspired by the King of the Beasts. She took a moment to catch her breath and was amazed by the unique designs. The dorm's look reminded her of the kingdom of Sunset Savannah, where she used to work for Leona in his royal palace.
Memories of her past with Leona rushed back to her, filled with regret. As she thought about Leona, Silent realized that although Leona's appearance and demeanor hadn't changed much, his heart had. It was clear that he had changed because she had hurt his feelings by betraying him. Their friendship used to be strong, but she had distanced herself so much that it had broken. It was impossible to repair that bond now, after six years.
Silent collected herself and walked to the entrance gate. She knocked on the door in front of her, which was then opened by a Savanaclaw sophomore resident.
"Who are you? What do you want?" The resident asked in a rude and harsh way.
Even though she was shouted at, the quiet girl stayed calm. Silen typed a message on her phone and showed it to the resident. It said she wanted to see Leona Kingscholar.
The resident made a sound of disapproval. "You want to see the house warden?" Silen nodded.
"Why does a small and fragile Ignihyde like you want to meet House warden Leona?" The resident asked in a mean way, looking at Silen's clothes.
Silen typed another message on her phone and showed it to the resident, explaining that the house warden had asked to meet her.
"Go away! The house warden doesn't want to meet anyone from Ignihyde." The resident told Silen to leave and slammed the door.
. Silen was shocked and didn't know what to say. She moved away from the door and looked up at the building before starting to climb the walls. She wanted to find a room with a balcony and a single bed, just like the ones the house warden usually has. After searching for a bit, she found a balcony. Silen then climbed onto the roof and carefully checked if the room belonged to Leona.
As she peeked onto the balcony, she noticed a chess set left there. Silen went down to the balcony and walked towards the chess set. Seeing it brought back memories of playing chess with Leona when she used to be his bodyguard. She held a white pawn in her hand, thinking about how she used to play white chess pieces while Leona played with the black ones.
"Have you finished playing with my chess set?" Leona's voice startled Silen. She looked over to see the young prince standing with his arms crossed against the archway wall.
Realizing she couldn't consider him just a friend anymore, Silen hung her head low and carefully placed the white pawn back in its original spot. Using sign language, she apologized to Leona for invading his private space.
"Well, you did enter my dorm without permission," Leona remarked, causing Silen to feel guilty and lower her head even more.
Since it was actually his resident who had kicked her out, Leona decided to let it go, curious about what she had to say regarding her betrayal six years ago.
Silen signed to Leona, asking for the chance to share something about herself. Despite still feeling hurt by her actions, Leona agreed to listen.
"I... I'm not actually mute. I can talk," Silen suddenly revealed to Leona. He was surprised, having never heard her voice before.
