Chapter 10

When we get back home I can't restrain myself from punching the wall, causing everyone but Gabe to jump.

"GOD! Why'd I kiss her!?" I mutter angrily shaking out my fist.

"David..." Dana starts.

"No! I'm an idiot! I messed up! I shouldn't have kissed her! She's gonna think I'm so....stupid! I wasn't thinking!" I start pacing.

"David.." Will starts.

"No! She hates me now! If I see her now its gonna be awkward!" I keep pacing.

"David!" Cole says.

"God! I'm so fucking stupid! I never should have asked about that bruise! I never should have asked about that abusive prick!" I punch the wall again.

"DAMN IT DAVID!" Gabe yells.

"What!?" I ask turning to them.

"First...she doesn't hate you. She likes you. Trust me." Gabe starts.

"Second you aren't stupid for following your heart." Will says.

"Third I'm glad you had the guts to kiss her man." Dana smiles.

"Fourth abusive?" Cole crosses his arms and Gabe raises his eyebrow.

"Umm....yeah she had...a bruise on her neck....." I mutter.

"Why didn't you let me hit him!?" Gabe asks before punching the wall.

"What would hitting him have solved!?" Cole asks.

"Why didn't YOU hit him!?" Gabe asks turning to me.

"I was fucking going to!" I insist. "But your damn sister just walked off with the prick!"

"We need to break them up." Dana says crossing his arms.

"You know who we need to call then." Cole says looking at everyone. Everyone exchanges knowing looks except for me.

"Who...." I ask knowing I'm going to dread the answer.

"Dalton!" They say. I freeze. No. I have to meet the guy who gives me nightmares.

"No." I shake my head.

"What?"

"Nope."

"Why!?"

"Never."

"David stop being ridiculous." Cole says. He's the only one who knows about my nightmares.

"I'm not! I just....why do we need him?" I ask. "He left the band. He's history. He's in his band. He's happy. Can we just....do this my way?"

"David, we've waited for your way. And your way sucks." Dana says.

"Wow! So now I have no game." I cross my arms annoyed.

"David....you kissed my sister on an impulse while she was with another dude." Gabe crosses his arms.

"I was in the moment! I'm sorry! What did you want me to do? Ignore her! My gut was screaming kiss her! How could I resist her lips. They were calling to-"

"Okay David! Thats my sister!" Gabe interrupts.

"Sorry." I feel my face go red.

"So we are calling Dalton?" Dana asks his phone already out. Everyone looks at me and I sigh nodding.

"Awesome!" Dana puts the phone to his ear and walks out of the room with the rest of the boy except Cole.

"This is a bad idea...what if he wants back in the band?" I whisper.
