Chapter 13

Gabe's POV

I race after Amanda and lose her as I exit the building.

"Damn it!" I mutter. I check all our cars. She's not there. Where would she go? Panic sets in cause i know she doesn't know this area.

My phone rings and I pull it out to see Chantels calling.

"Hey beautiful!?." I answer

"Hi baby. What's up?" Her voice calms me down a bit.

"Umm..I was in an interview....and uh...it didn't end well..." I sigh running my fingers through my hair.

"David and Amanda?" She asks.

"Basically the damn idiots asked dumb questions and now David thinks Amanda's back with Keaton..." I sigh.

"She ran into Keaton the day she got back. Right before she went to your concert...she never told me what happened." I freeze. So the pictures were true. They did kiss. Now the question is did Keaton kiss her? Or did she kiss Keaton. I shake my head. My sister wouldn't hurt David.

"Well..I don't know but Amanda's run off and I can't find her." I walk to my car and get in.

"Try the beach or the cliff." Chantel suggests. I smile. What would I do without her?

"I'll try thanks babe." I say before hanging up. I quickly drive to the cliff over looking the beach and sigh in relief as I see Amanda sitting on a rock. I park and get out walking over to her quickly.

"If you've come to lecture me don't." She says not looking at me.

"Nah. I'm your brother....not your mom." I shove my hands in my pockets and continue walking over. I sit next to her and sigh.

"I didn't mean to hurt him..." She says looking at me. I look at her to see she's been crying.

"I know...but its David. He will understand." I give her a smile.

"Why is everything with him so...." She trails off looking away.

"Complicated?"

"Yeah...complicated.." She nods.

"Its David...everything's always complicated with David..." I shrug.

"Yeah..." She looks down.

"But thats why he needs you..."she looks at me confused. "Right? To help him make his choices clear...cause without you....he feels like nothing..."

She slowly nods and I put my arm around her shoulders. She leans against me.

"I wanna talk to him." She softly says.

"Then call him." I answer.

She slowly pulls out her phone and hands it to me. Girls and their crushes. I call David and wait for him to answer.

"Amanda! I am so sorry! I never meant to get mad-"

"Its me bro." I interrupt him.

"Gabe...where's Amanda?" He sounds panicked.

"Right next to me. Come down to the cliff over looking the beach." I say.

"On my way." He hangs up. I hand Amanda back her phone and we sit in silence.

Pretty soon David arrives.

"Good luck." I kiss the side of her head before leaving.

Davids POV

As I walk over I see Gabe get off the rock and walk over to me.

"Is she alright?" I ask.

"She will be fine....as long as you don't hurt her." He gives me a warning look. I nod and walk past him to Amanda.
