Miguel had gotten seriously Injured by Kyler and his friends and by the time Isabel and Johnny had found him, he was already on the floor knocked unconscious. The two picked up Miguel and drove him back to Miguel and Isabel's apartment. Carmen was absolutely devastated to see her boy in such a state but also that her kids had been lying to her about taking maréate lessons knowing she would never approve.
Carmen turned to Johnny, you could see the anger in her. Isabel was a-bit shocked since she hadn't seen her mother get this mad at anything besides their father. "I don't want you ever coming near my kids again. Do you understand me?"
Johnny started down at the weak Miguel on the couch "I'm sorry, I should've never gotten involved."
"No! Cobra Kia never dies!" Miguel called out, but Johnny had already left.

"What are we gonna do? I don't want to stop karate, I was finally starting to get good!" Miguel asked Isabel
"Alright, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. You did just get horribly beaten up like 24 hours ago."
Miguel rolled his eyes annoyed "Stop getting off topic!"
"Honestly? I don't think we can do anything. Did you see mom? She was livid, we can't really convince her otherwise. I don't want to give up karate either but I don't think we really have a choice."
The two had ti abruptly stop their conversation though because Carmen walked out to the living room holding a bag of ice for Miguel's injuries.
"Here. Hold this ice on your ribs."
"Thanks."
"Muggy why don't you tell me who did this. I'll call the school, they can protect you."
Isabel scoffed just thinking about councillor blast's meeting about Eli a couple days prior
"It will only make things worse mama." Miguel sighed
"Worse then this?"
"Yes! Maybe if I just had more lessons-"
"No! No more karate!"
Isabel decided to chime in to try and help "mum please , we just need more practice! Miguel is the weaker one anyway." Miguel just threw his hands up in protest at Isabel's comment.
"Isabel, your teacher is a bad influence." Carmen responded sternly
"He's not! You don't know him!" Miguel quickly followed
"He's a loser."
"He is not a loser. If you knew him you would see he's a great man."
