"No, she can't be dead, she isn't, I know she isn't" I screamed with tears streaming down my face

"I'm sorry Maddison, but it's true, your mother is dead" said Mother Minko, the head nun at the Jovidale Orphanage, kindly

"No she isn't" I sobbed, Mother Minko went to put her arm around me comfortingly but before she could I ran out the front door, slamming it behind me, and ran into the forest across the road, and quickly found the tall tree that was shielding the tree-house, that my dad built for me before he left six and a half years ago (when I was about one and a half), climbed in and fell asleep on my sleeping-bag, crying.
