~Case Of Amnesia~

♕Roc POV♕

"Dang man. You messed up." Jaden told me as I sat down in Jade's spot. She had just run out the door. I don't don't know where to, but its perfect for my plan.

"No, I did it on purpose. I was planning something for her birthday Friday." I said while taking Jamia. "I'm going purpose to her. I'm so ready." I said.

"Mwaryy Mommy?" Jamia asked.

"Yes. And you can't tell her. Its a secret between us." I said poking her little nose. She started laughing.

"That's my man." Jaden said patting my shoulder. My phone started to ring. I answered without looking.

"Hello?"

"Yes, this is SC Hospital. I'm calling for Trey Young?".

"This is he. How may I help you?"

"Well, Jade Tanner is in the hospital from a severe car crash. I was only letting you know." She said.

"Thank you." I hung up quickly.

"We have to go! Jade's in the hospital again." I said. We all rushed out.

"Ma'am? I am Trey Young. I'm here-" She cut me off.

"Oh yes. You're the one I talked to earlier." The receptionist said.

"What room is she in?" I asked curiously.

"Sorry sir, but you can't go up there yet. She is in critical condition and they aren't letting anyone up there." She said with a remorseful expression across her face.

"Please! That is my wife! We have a two year old daughter and I want to make sure my wife will live to see our daughter grow up!" I yelled.

"Um...I'll see what I can do." She said. I turned around and walked over to where Jaden and Jamia were seated. It was a vacated area and right now, I feel like being isolated from everyone.

"What'd she say?" Jaden asked.

"She'll see what she can do." I sighed a heavy sigh.

"Mommy?" I looked towards Jamia. My eyes started to water. How was I going to tell Jamia that her Mom might not live? Ugh. This is so freaking hard. I just sat down and hugged her. Hard.

'Dear Lord, if you hear me right now, I pray that Jade is safe. I want you to protect her forever so that she is here with Jamia. I love her so much, and I know you do, too. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.' I silently prayed to myself.

Hours passes and Jamia had fallen asleep. Jaden was starting to go to sleep.

"Anyone here for Jade Tanner?" My head popped up from going into a slumber.

"I am." I rose out of my seat.

"Well sir, you can visit her now." I followed her down a narrow hall and into this huge room. I saw Jade and I felt my heart jump into my stomach. Her face was so bruised that I could barely recognize her. She had bandages around her head and a cast on her leg.

"Jade." I whispered while walking up to her. I grabbed the free hand that she had. My baby. I felt the tiniest squeeze, yet it made me smile.

I heard the door open and close.

"Sir, you can't be in here." It was a male doctor.

"Please, I'm her husband. The nurse said that I could." I said hoping.

"Well, um, I might as well tell you this now. Due to the wreck, she might have amnesia." He said with a slight frown and a sigh.

I sat down in one of the nearby chairs. I sighed. A real heavy depressing sigh. My soon to be wife wasn't going to know who I was. Oh why now? This is some BS. Something is always happening to her? Why not me? Why not me? Am I too good to be with her or is she too good to be with me? This orld is so confusing! Calm down. Calm down.

"How long will it be before she gets her memory back?" I asked.

"Maybe 1 to 2 weeks." Be said.

"Okay. Thanks." He said.

He nodded his head and walked out. I rose up and kissed Jade on her forehead. I walked out and into the waiting area. The horror there would be when her Mom finds out.

I walked to where Jaden was. Jamia had woke up and was now sitting in the toy area.

"Where'd you go?" He asked as I sat down.

"To see Jade."

"They let you back there? What'd they say?" He asked.

"She might have amnesia when she wakes up." I said. Then Jamia came over to me.

"Daddy!" She said. I picked her up and held her.

"Gosh girl! You're a spitting image of your Mom!" I kissed her chubby cheeks.

"I know." She said. This child is so goofy.
