Jocelyn disposed of the ring which she figured was not hers if it belongs to a dead woman.Dom had taken her on a cruise around the beach where she watched with hooded eyes as the horizon turned from orange-red to purple-blue. He talked with her about how this would go from now on. She wasn't too closed off as before.
'I think I'm ready. To move on. We can do this together.' Joce laid her hand on his as he switched gears and they came to a stop in front of a ranch home that looked oddly familiar.
'If you are...these belong to you.' Dom handed her the keys. She was getting the home that she had dreamed of because Dom loved her that much. 'Really? This is mine...' The love that she had for him was glistening in her eyes.
He made this come true.
He did.
And she would give him something he probably was waiting for all those months ago.
'I do...I do love you, Dominic.'
She smiled at him through her tears and he wiped them away with a soft, tender kiss to her lips before it morphed into a hard, passionate kiss. This sealed how happy he was to hear those words and Jocelyn knew without being told.
She'd rather feel it then be told over and over with nothing behind it.
'Ride or Die.' Dom deep voice sent chills down Joce's spine.
Her hand squeezed his.
'Ride or Die.'
After their emotional display, Joce entered the house to find that it looked and smelled like fresh paint and a home ready to be created. She was ready for this. Maybe everything that happened up to this point had made her stronger and better.
'When did you buy this?' She questioned as she ran her hands over the marble breakfast bar and counters. 'When you were in the hospital...I wanted to surprise you with it when you recovered but you forgot who I was.' Dom leaned against the counter with his arms crossed over his chest, muscles tense and bulging.
Joce raised an eyebrow.
Although this could have gone completely sour, Dom had done this for her.
She wanted to thank him more than he could imagine. More than he could ever possibly dream of.
'You know what?'
'What?'
'We should do something like christen each room since it is our home.' Joce started pulling the strings of her one piece suit off that she had worn to her party. 'Well, I guess we could...'
Joce laughed as she was lifted over his shoulder and onto the kitchen island.
'Ride or Die?' It was a question that she already knew the answer to.
No matter.
'Ride or Die.' He said as he kissed her fully on the mouth until everything was touching, mouth to mouth, chest to chest, and nothing in between.
The day ended with their limbs intertwined on the floor of the sun room.
'So this is the ride of my life, huh?' Joce questioned when she settled her head on her elbow to watch Dom. He was staring at the high ceilings with serious eyes.
She could only imagine what his thoughts were about everything. From her family to his. From racing to the money. No one outside of their world understood what this life took or how even when you want to leave, it is the hardest thing to do.
'Only if you want it to be.' Dom needed her confirmation, as if it wasn't obvious, that this was really happening.
'I do. This is right now...This is what I want.'
Joce fell asleep in Dom's arms.
