"Mackenzie, get your butt out of bed," my older sister, Maddie snapped at me for the fourth time today. "Ugh fine. But I'm only getting up since you keep bothering me," I yawn, crawling out of bed. She glares at me and walks out of my room. My sister and I have always been close but sometimes she's such a pain. I walk over to my vanity and apply some makeup. I use some foundation and concealer then blend it in. I add some blush and lip gloss and I'm done.

Next, I choose a comfy but cute outfit. I decide on a coral sweater with some jeggings and combat boots since it's the fall season. I curl my hair in loose waves and I head downstairs for breakfast.

I grab an apple and join my mom at the table. "Morning Kenz," she says, taking a sipping of her coffee. "Morning," I reply, biting into the red ripe apple. "So I have some exciting news," she tells me. "What is it?" I ask. "Remember Jojo? Her dad got a new job in Pittsburgh and they're moving here," she announces. "Yay," I scream, enveloping my mom in a hug. Jojo Siwa used to be my best friend when we lived in Nebraska. "What's with all the screaming?" Maddie comes down the stairs confused. "Nothing," I respond with a grin on my face. "Whatever. Kenzie, we gotta get going," she informs me. "K, bye mom." "Bye honey! Have fun!" I throw my apple in the trash and grab my Vera Bradley backpack. "Alright, let's go," Maddie says with her keys in hand. She opens the door that leads to our garage and we head into the Honda.

"Here we go." Maddie starts the engine and we're off to Franklin Regional High School.
