After Brennen

Chapter 1

I can't believe it. After long days of anticipation, I finally made it to the Star Wars convention! I know it's probably the geekiest interest possible for a 19 year old girl, but it's my favorite movie and I'm absolutely obsessed with it. I have watched every movie and own basically all merchandise. You could say I'm quite devoted.

My two best friends, Jessica and Faith think I'm completely insane for having such an interest in it. They think I should be into boy bands or magcon or something they think is "normal". As I approach the double doors of the large building, about 30 girls run past me, pushing and and yelling someone's name. I have a funny feeling they aren't here for Star Wars. I walk in and see tons of props from the movie and I instantly smile.

In the center of the room, I see tons of girls, including the ones that recently ran in. My curiosity takes over as I progress my way to the crowd. In the center, there is a very attractive guy. No wonder there is a crowd. He has brown hair and what appears to be hazel eyes. From the back of the crowd you can see how perfect his smile is. I don't understand how everyone in the crowd knows who he is so ask someone. They tell me that is name is Brennen Taylor and say it as if I should've known that already. As I try to think of where I herd of his name I instantly remember it from a few vines I saw that he was tagged in. I was never really into social media, but vine was definitely my all time favorite. I never made vines, I just watched others. I looked him up on vine and discovered I wasn't following him. I hope none of those crazy girls saw it. After watching a few of his vines I look up to see that all the girls are being taken away for not having an access pass and the guy has disappeared.

I have a sudden urge to use the bathroom and walk across the large room to it. I reach for the handle as a strong arm reaches it before me and holds it open for me. As I look up to thank the person, I see the guy that was in the center of the crowd, Brennen Taylor. He is so much sexier up close. I stand there awkwardly, not moving as I try to think of what to say. "Thanks", is all I manage to spit out. "Any time", he replies with a smile which appears to light up the room. "It is my honor to be able to hold a bathroom door open for a beautiful girl at a Star Wars convention", he says in probably his most sarcastic voice ever and giggles so adorably. I laugh at his choice of words and soon realize that he called me beautiful. This hot ass guy just called me beautiful. I smiled so big and I felt like such a child, but it made me so happy. "You have beautiful eyes", he says. "I could say the same for you", I reply, "You're Brennen Taylor right?"
"Yeah. You've herd of me?"
"Yup. I've seen you in a few vines."
"Are you impressed"
"They're okay", I say with a laugh. He gives me a playful glare and says, "Maybe I could change your mind tonight." Of course I think of the dirtiest things possible that he could've ment by that and he interrupts my dirty thoughts by saying, "I can change your mind about my vines tonight. We can get some chipotle or something."
I quickly reply yes before even thinking about what he asks and we exchange numbers. "I'll pick you up at 7", he says, "I never got your name." "It's Lexi, well it's actually Alexis, but people call me Lexi", I reply awkwardly. He laughs and then we say bye to each other. After hanging around the convention for a while, I decide to go home and get ready. I get home at about 4 and I get in the shower and start getting ready for my........... Date? Chipotle isn't exactly the first place I expected to go on a first date but if that's what he likes, it'll do. I finish getting ready at 6 and sit on the couch, day dreaming about the night to come.
