Far away from the chaotic royal palace, where the village went quiet as soon as the sun went down.

A low sound of footsteps walking on the dark grass where to barely be heard.

That night was pretty cold, the sky was dark and cloudy yet no matter how many time it tried to cover the shiney stars, they would always find a way to show up again.

Slowly heading towards the forest, it was a pretty long walk yet he still chose to not wake his horse.

The wind moved the grass under his feet, and took off his hood.

Elmer had nothing to hide, it was just a habit he picked up along the way. And habits are not easy to get rid of.

Once the prince made it to the inside of that forest, and was surrounded by enough trees, he used a dagger to draw an X sign on multiple trees.

It was his target for the archery training.

Elmer took a deep breath, holding his bow and arrow in hand.

A thud sound, his first arrow was pierced through the center of his target.

With not a single moment of time wasting. He had his second arrow in hand and was pointing it at his next target.

Another perfect shot, followed by a better one.

The distance kept growing yet his hands was steady and his eyes were so focused.

Behind those trees, some unknown eyes were admiring the first prince.

"He is too good"

A familiar voice whispered.

"I know right?"

Hawk replied.

Victor was very startled when he turned back to find the tall man standing behind him.

He could not hear him coming at all.

"Sorry, did I scare you?"

Hawk smiled, while asking.

"It's alright"

Victor smiled back replying, he felt relieved that it was just Hawk.

"So we're all worried about him?"

Hawk asked while stepping closer, since Elmer kept moving forward after every shot.

"Yes, prince Elmer, he must have had it hard"

Victor spoke his truth.

From the moment his eyes met Elmer's, he could tell that something felt wrongly different.

"And you?"

Hawk looked up asking.

"I let my guard down before"

Venator who was on top the tree replied.

"YOU SCARED ME"

Victor shouted in whispers, he almost got a heart attack from the shock.

"Now he knows we're here"

The hunter said before jumping down, and stepping outside of the shadows, followed by Hawk and Victor.

The prince stopped aiming at his targets and turned around to let his eyes meet theirs.

"Hello there"

Elmer said with a soft smiling face.

"Mind if we join you?"

Hawk asked, while holding his own bow.
