A H A D
My mind stopped functioning as her soft lips met mine. I felt a spark of electricity run through my veins like a whispered promise of forever. Her eyes were closed, while mine remained wide open, unable to grasp the intensity of a moment we had just shared.
I could feel myself melting under her touch, the gentle press of her delicate petal-like lips against mine, the feeling of her soft palms grasping my jaw took me to a journey that could never belong to this world.
My palm reached up to cradle her jaw, savouring the moment as the other was wrapped around her waist loosely, eyes closing as I cherished this connection we shared. This was the only thing that mattered, a fleeting glimpse of perfection that I knew I'd spend the rest of my life chasing.
She pulled away slowly and my hold on her waist tightened as I joined our foreheads. Both of our eyes remained close, hearts thundering in unison.
"I'm only yours, Ahad. I don't want you to doubt us ever again!" She whispered against me, her soft breath fanning over my face.
I smiled, warmth pooling in my eyes. "I won't". I assured her.
"I'm sorry, I was the one to plant the seeds of doubt in you. I shouldn't have said that". She declared and I sighed.
I opened my eyes slowly and she did the same. Our eyes met, a symphony of untold emotions was shared between them, a conversation we couldn't decipher out in words.
"It's not your fault, I was thinking too much". I admitted and she chuckled softly, pulling away and sitting straight as she began looking here and there. I just looked at her flustered form, a smirk playing on my lips.
Her cheeks and ears were flushed crimson-cute, rare and exclusively mine! I wanted to tease her so badly, but the fact that she had initiated this, left me dumbfounded and speechless.
"Is the offer for tasty food still out?" I asked sheepishly and she smiled bashfully before stepping down from the bed. "I'll get something for you", With that, she walked out and I laid down on the bed, smiling bashfully.
My fingertips caressed my lips gently, still tingling from the connection, as my heart kept on beating like crazy.
Of all the persons that crossed my path, she was the one I could never let go. In her hands rested the power to lift me higher than any victory, or bring me to my knees with just a glance.
The world could never match the strength I carried-except when it came to her. She didn't just hold my heart, she held the version of me I never knew I could be.
I smiled when she walked in after a while with a bowl of soup and sat beside me. That was when the reality resurfaced and I felt the heat on my skin, the fever burning my eyes.
"Get up, have this and then you can sleep after taking medicines". She urged and I sat up reluctantly, my muscles aching.
I had barely eaten a few spoonfuls when my stomach already felt full. I looked at her, who was busy searching for pills in the medicine box.
"Inaya! I'm done". I said and she looked up at me. "That hasn't even moved from its place", she pointed at the bowl and I sighed, pushing the bowl back slowly.
She passed me a soft glare and took it, sitting beside me cross-legged, she forwarded a spoonful towards my mouth. I scrunched my face in denial and she glared harder, yet soft. I slowly parted my lips and sipped it. She kept on feeding me until I couldn't take it anymore.
"Just one more!" She insisted.
"And I'll vomit", I shot back and she chuckled loudly as she got up, muttering okay.
